But I’m wondering what percent of players “raided” this week. It has to be really low as well. Bungie should encourage new players to participate in raids. Maybe they could have a tutorial mode, with matchmaking. I would rather have that, instead of watching an hour long video from a content creator, and then dealing with the LFG section that requires 20 flawless completions on master difficulty.

Please if you want to run it that bad just put up your own LFG and learn it with others. Players don’t always have time to teach and sometimes want to get it done quickly. Instead of asking others to carry you through just start your own group.

We had normal mode and heroic mode in D1. I have been a Sherpa for a lot of people then and it was a good system. When they got used to it we tackled the harder mode. It was fun to actually do raids and help new clan members.

2 RepliesHow will matchmaking work( People will just join and go afk.

3 RepliesBack in D1Y1, you became more powerful as your light level increased. The raids, while tough at first, became easy after it had been around for 6 months to 1 year. The “mechanics heavy” parts of the raids could be done by 2-3 players, allowing noob first-timers to just tag along. This allowed nearly everyone to complete a raid. In D2, every part of the above changed. Leviathan required all 6 to fully participate in the “mechanics heavy” parts of the game, and the game increased in difficulty to match your light level as time marched on. Raid completions dropped like a rock among those on my friends list.

3 RepliesDivision proved why matchmaking would never work in raids. It was a total dog show where 85% of groups were unable to even pass the first encounter (which was just ad clear btw). So yeah add matchmaking in d2 you'll see the exact same thing. Also raids in Division was far more easier than raids in d2.

16 RepliesSounds pretty lazy to me. Why not go in and figure it out like others had to do?

6 RepliesRaid participation has always been low due to the group size requirements. It's hard to push new players into raids because they lack the gear and power. Even if we remove power, which I'm in favor of, they'd massively struggle.

2 RepliesEdited by Infamous067: 11/8/2022 12:10:41 AMNo one apart from the addicts are going to raid with a 0.000001% of getting the raid exotic. As for trials? The loot is boring and bungie removed the best trial weapons from the loot pool which is just stupid on their part. Not to mention having to face 3 night stalker every single game with the occasional arc titan spamming grenades and insanely rare situations with arc warlocks running with the grenade launcher and melee combo.

I like this suggestion, like just try it with one raid to start like king's Fall since it's the newest free raid. It could have how to complete each encounter before the rally flag is dropped before said encounter, then have like a short video of the mechanics in one of the corners. Kinda like how in some games it shows you the action required to perform the task before doing it. Like you said a tutorial raid lol I don't know how much work it would be to do this or even if it would have any engagement, knowing our community though it probably wouldn't have much sadly. Plus bungie doesn't like to do much to this game without financial compensation so I wouldn't hold our breath but cool ideal nonetheless.

7 RepliesPeople keep bringing up that LFG myth. Look at LFG right now, there’s 10 groups just looking to run it KWTD and another 3 looking to teach/for teaching for every 1 group that posts requirements and clears. Just say you’re trash and other normal players don’t like playing with you

1 ReplyNumbers in the game are down atm. Several new games and players are burnt out and need a break. I honestly think they should move to a 3 season year instead of 4. Make the seasons a little longer with 2 week breaks in between. It would help reduce the 15 year olds falling into the deadly grasp of FOMO and vets won’t feel burned out.

I mostly do LFG and it’s fine. Every other raid or so, there are a couple clueless guys, but it’s their own faults. They either don’t listen or don’t pay attention. The number of clears doesn’t signify that much. I’ve seen guys with 10+ clears who don’t know the roles because they always volunteer for add clear. I’ve seen a randy with 5+ clears try to DPS the Warpriest with Gjally because he didn’t feel like using a LFR. That guy added at least half-an-hour to the raid through his antics.

6 RepliesPart of the problem with raids are the PvE elitist which are more toxic and go under the radar compared to PvP elitist. They say “they’re very mechanic heavy”. Bro… sometimes it’s just running from plate to plate or guarding a plate and totem. Sure it’s more mechanics than usual but nothing psychotic.

Destiny 2 is at its lowest active players count it ever has been. 60k people are playing. When which queen was released 175k were playing. Bungie has screwed us for the last 2/3 seasons. And people are fed up with it, along with me. I already preorderd lightfall, but if s 19 is filler like I know bungie will do. I won't be back until lightfall. And if it isn't good, I'll quit for good. And I'd imagine thousands of other will by then, if they haven't now

2 RepliesI have dozens of lfg clears. 8/10 times it’s mostly ok No one owes a teaching run (they make the raid take at least 50 percent longer due to the need to explain encounters and the inevitable wipes). If I have time I don’t mind teaching 1-2 new players if…. They are on mic They have the volume of their game on They have end game qualityish weapons available (the I don’t have a bow, I don’t have a shot gun, I don’t have a fusion rifle, etc conversations are frustrating and make me want to quit… this falls under be raid ready Be a light level that is appropriate for the activity And that they are open to loadout suggestions if they are dying/causing wipes more than just the necessities of learning the footwork of the encounter As for mm. It would be a total failure

Who cares! This is how change is made, everybody should stop playing.
-
I would take 5 new randos through Kings Fall this week if everyone can agree on a time and date, be ready and willing, at least 1570, and play nice with each other. Success will depend on you!
-
My honest suggestion would be to go clan shopping. Go to the forums about clans and find one you like. LFG’s are really inconsistent and GG’s I don’t think have ever worked. I would avoid the clans with prerequisites as they typically have the same vibe as LFG’s but I would also wanna look for more active groups as well, bc raids require a lot of time and people.
-
Could just make your own LFG and go in blind with 5 others. You're making it harder then what it is.

7 RepliesWe as crucible players are striking... If this is what it takes to get Bungie to listen, we will let their numbers die. As for raiding. Which new player gets excited to get kicked from a fireteam for making 7 mistakes every encounter?

there kinda already is a mm tutorial version
