I have to unplug the power cord and plug it back in to turn it back on. Overheating issue maybe as the PSI and console seems hot? Fixes?

1 ReplyGiven that there aren’t posts about this from all of the other PS5 players, including myself, the logical conclusion is that this is a local problem - as in your console. If you have your console in an enclosed space (TV cabinet etc), take it out as you are starving the console from cool air and forcing it to draw in the same hot air that’s it pushing out. Have you cleaned your console out? Removing the side panels will allow you to access the fan without the need to disassemble the console. You can remove the screws to lift the fan out and brush the dust off. If the fan is packed full o’ dust then you will want to open the console up and give a more detailed clean - just don’t remove the heat sink from the main board as they use liquid metal instead of paste. A tip for cleaning: remove the top/side panel with the PS logo, if you can see dust in the shape of the logo then clean your console. You may already do the above but your post didn’t indicate as much.
