Yeah, and they sucked. The steps had worse pvp requirements than anything in D2, you got a choice of three randomly but there were four or five quests so you’d constantly have to basically burn a quest to hope the next one would let you get one you were missing. God that was such a bad system. Made Thorne the most miserable exotic to try to get. Worse than gally.

Super Good Advice... That was my first exotic obtained from an exotic bounty. I remember soloing Thorn last step, the modified version of that Moon strike. I had no idea what LFG was a thing back then. I was on PS3... 🤣.

Now it's a joke to acquire exotics that most of them are not even worth the time even if they are handed out. Rotational loot pools for raids. Deliberately poorly designing loot pools like the lost sectors that offer a chance at no rewards at all, and glimmer more often than not as a reward. Manipulating the RNG more so than they did in D1 that loot boxes that were placed in D1 are 100% proof that Bungie knows how to manipulate the system. The incentive in this game vs D1 to acquire exotics is almost nonexistent, and it's why I don't waste my time acquiring most of them especially knowing the nerf-happy team that does what they do best.

pls dont remind them, or next seasonal exotic, instead of just getting it, youll have to visit every vendor location to get it.

Yep, I also enjoyed the grind for Redrix, Luna's Howl and Not Forgotten. You had an objective, the aim to get a great weapon. Not this endless conveyor belt of tedium we have now. Yep, I know there are quests within the PvE side etc but that is becoming so stale.
