How about we just nerf everything? This way nothing is good. Nothing is fun to play with. And nobody wants to play. Will you and the rest of the nerf herd be -blam!- happy then?

Alright Let's add powerlevels to Crucible And then lets nerf everything to power level 0 So you can only do 1 damage per shot/headshot
-
Let's start by nerfing hunters out of the game. Boom already better
-
No, just the ones needed
-
It shows you that competitive PVP isn't compatible with a loot-based POWER-fantasy game. ...because the range of what those PVP players consider "legitimate play mechanics" is so narrow that it stifles what can be done with the PVE side of the game.
-
I’ve literally had times in trials where I saw the shot go past my head and I still died to a headshot, no lag. It’-blam!- detection is beyond broken. There’s a difference between the “nerf everything” group and the “This is breaking the game” group.
-
His point----and he's right----is that the complaining about balance NEVER stops. ...and Trials always winds up being a MASSIVE power-drain on the game, and damages the enjoyment of the PVE side of the game. We finally have a special weapon linear fusion rifle that is worth actually using in PVE.....and here we are heading for a nerf because people get mad because they die to space-magic....in a space magic game.
-
It’s not hard to just lower it’s target acquisition. That wouldn’t hurt it in PVE and it would help balance it in PVP. I’m not entirely sure why the post is complaining about the damage buff since it’s almost impossible to get 3 stacks in PVP, especially comp or trials. As for the constant complaining, yea it’s annoying, but this is one of the rare cases where the weapon itself is actually overtuned. As much as it pains me to admit as a Pve player, Destiny 2s vocal player base is largely PVP players

Edited by TheArtist: 10/22/2021 7:44:47 PM
It’s not hard to just lower it’s target acquisition
...and then what? What about the next thing....and the one after that....and the one after that....and the one after that? THIS NEVER STOPS. This game is LOCKED in a toxic cycle that this weapon epitomizes. We are given power at the start of content drops....and then we have that power taken BACK because PvP players get mad because they start DYING to that power. Sharing a single sandbox is NOT working...and it will NEVER work to the satisfaction of the majority of the player base. Which is why I just CRINGED when I heard one of Bungie's Sandbox people refer to this single sandbox as "Destiny's superpower" in a recent podcast interview..... ...instead of the quintessential (sorry $50 word, but its the only one that fits) design flaw that it is.

That’s exactly way I said to nerf it in a way that wouldn’t affect Pve. You need to calm down. This is how ALL MMO games work now. Constant balancing and tweaks. If you’re that sick of it that you rant about it on the forums then go play SP games that don’t get regular patching and updates. They can’t just leave stuff alone, that’s when the Meta stagnates and people get bored.
-
There is no nerf that won't affect it in PVE. There are nerfs that will MINIMIZE its impact on PVE, but EVERY weapon nerf is felt in PVE.
This is how ALL MMO games work now.
...and all other MMOs have SEPERATE sandboxes for PVP...and their PVP are contests of BUILD-STRENGTH, where players don't complain because they died to MAGIC. The issue isn't that the PVP sandbox needs balancing or tweaking...its that the shared sandbox is always dragging PVE around by the neck....and PVE is constantly having the terms of that sandbox DICTATED to them by the MINORITY of players who play PVP regularly. While the MAJORITY of the community that plays PVE gets little to no say in the matter.

You need to calm down with the caps man, its not helping anything but making your points less potent, there's Bolding, italicizing, and Underlining options. As for your claims that PVE is Majority, thats not entirely correct. You are technically right that PVE is majority, however current stats as of 5:00 PM CST has the following: Trials 25% Patrol (Players that are on planets not in any activity, mind you this number is currently inflated due to Festival of the lost page farming public events) 21% Seasonal/Story 17% Strikes/LostSectors/Nightfalls 15% Crucible 10% Gambit/Raids/Dungeons/Private Crucible 11% (Bundled together because their individual % are so small) So not a insignificant amount of players are currently playing PVP activities, you cant just write them off and say "Yea youre SOL because the weapon is performing fine in PVE" and vice versa, you cant write off PVE the same way. That's why Bungie "tries" to balance things so they are usable in PVE and PVP. Not to mention its a lot easier to balance around PVP because there are set benchmarks for how weapons should perform. You cant look at PVE and say "Yea Lorentz is balanced" while completely ignoring that its target acquisition stat is supposed to be only 32 (Queenbreaker and Mytho both have 100) but it performs better than every other fusion in the game currently in PVP. Its literally supposed to have the second worst target acquisition stat in the archetype, just ahead of arbelest at 31. and yet you can clearly see in youtube videos people shooting the Lorentz, not hitting anywhere near the head, and getting awarded a headshot. At some point you need to realize that yes, its not fair to PVE that weapons get nerfed, but there is no easy way to see in PVE that a weapons stats are bloated or straight up broken. The only weapon that came to mind that was partially nerfed due to its overwhelming power in PVE was recluse, and you can argue that that was also nerfed in part to PVP, that doesnt change that it was the only weapon used in PVE for a long time As for balancing separately, Bungie already does that here and there. If you dont believe me look it up. the problem with people like you is that you want powertrips, and that anything that infringes on that suddenly becomes a personal attack against you. The moment Bungie takes a step back and says "You know, Recluse has been used a lot in PVE, lets tone it down" People like you started screeching to leave it alone. The problem with powertrip in D2 is that you end up like One Punch man, you burn out extremely fast because you 1 shot everything, players like challenge, not mindless slogging.

https://destinytracker.com/ PVE is in a lull right now and is still pulling more engagement than PVP which Destinytracker cooks the numbers for by combining both Gambit and Crucible together. PVE is the foundation and economic engine for the game, and PVP is an albatross around its neck.
-
Did you not see that I split Gambit away from normal Crucible? Gambit literally had 4%. No matter what you say, a majority of players Play Crucible, not all at once, but almost every player plays it. If they remove Crucible, D2 fails. End of discussion. You vastly discredit how important Crucible is to D2, If D2 didnt have crucible it wouldnt pull half of the playercount is has now. And if youre using the Destinytracker numbers, that even further disproves your point 630.7K players did Crucible yesterday 855.3K players did PVE yesterday Destinytracker counts being in orbit as PVE, Orbit is counted as "Patrol" for Charlemagne. So literally 73.68% of players that played D2 yesterday played Crucible PVE Majority my -blam!-

Edited by TheArtist: 10/23/2021 1:55:35 AMAlternative facts…. Warmind.Io Overall: 972k PVE: 884k PvP (Crucible): 376k Gambit: 192k Raid: 113k You picked the wrong person to try to bullshit your way past…. Pvp is not and never has been the majority of the player base in the seven year history of the franchise. Crucible is so weak that it isn’t even half of the pve player engagement right now. Who is trying to Bullshit? If anyone is its you since you wont believe your own link you provided. They aren't alternative facts. Did you even look at your destiny tracker link you sent? You provided your own link, which proved you wrong, then called it out as alternative facts. At this point I dont believe any singular word you say. Damn Hypocrites And if you dont believe me here's proof: https://imgur.com/xSq01rs Thats a screen cap of the link you originally sent to back up your own claims. And Like I said, that number is cumulative throughout the day, not current active numbers. Plus, I cant verify YOUR warmind.io numbers anywhere, no where on that site am I am able to find those activity numbers, there are only percents on the Activity page, and you didnt provide an actual link to it. But go on about alternative facts... Hypocrite...
-
Warmind.io /analytics population Now just keep digging that hole deeper….
-
I don’t have Charlemagne on my discord so I don’t know commands, I only checked the website. Also, did you even look at the image I sent? From the link YOU provided? Your head is so far up your own -blam!- you could choke on it. You get shown proof you’re wrong, from a link YOU provided, then turn around and say “yea that’s fake”. You’re not just a clown, you’re the whole circus.
-
All you have are insults I have been following the engagement numbers for this franchise for FIVE YEARS. There is no factual way out of this box. Crucible right now is pulling fewer players a day than it did back in Destiny 1 despite D2 having a playerbase that is nearly twice the size.
-
I showed you literal proof. From a link YOU provided. at this point the only thing you would understand is insults. You put the nail in your own coffin, not me. No matter what you say now, no one will believe a word you say. You can’t give evidence that blatantly proves you wrong and then willfully ignore it trying to find other evidence that supports you instead. As you said, “you picked the wrong person to try to bullshit past”. Congratulations on digging your own grave
-
Sure. I think you need to go back and re-read.
-
I mean, you refuse to believe the information YOU supplied originally. I really don’t understand how YOU don’t understand that… I’ve given examples of how it’s easier to balance around PvP, how it’s extremely difficult to balance around PVE, the fact that Bungie DOES have a system in place to balance separately, I used your link to prove weekly player count which you could verify yourself, I provided alternate numbers for current active player counts from Charlemagnes website, you used information that is not verifiable by me, and you refuse to acknowledge any information that may undermine your argument. Also for future reference so you don’t look like a fool, Charlemagne tracks only players who have been checked by the bot on Discord, and it logs them forever. Destinytracker is more accurate as is removes players from that count that don’t play activities, IE log in-tower-logoff. Charlemagne tracks that under Patrol which is PvE. Long story short Charlemagne isn’t accurate.
-
Because I know that it’s methods are unreliable, I cited and you keep trying to make baseless assumptions about it that support your narrative. Which is why I then cited the Warmind numbers which are accurate. Which show a pattern of pure Crucble engagement that never gets above 500k, but drops below 300k per day at seasons end over the last few seasnons. While pve engagement goes as high as 1.4 million at the start on a season and never drops below 800k by season end. Now take the L and stand down. I cited Destinytracker because they ALTER the numbers to make Crucible look healthier than it actually is and it STILL doesn’t support your assumption. Only to have you baselessly try to further alter those numbers to try to twist them into saying what you want. Now I’m tired of this…and I’m tired of you. Go. Away.
-
The warming numbers ARENT accurate though. I literally explained how both of them work. You can look it up if you don’t believe me. At the end of the day, you’re basing your argument off inaccurate information that was proven to be inaccurate. Also, I checked warmind last night on my discord server with the analytics command at 10:14 PM CST: For October 22/23 1.20M Total 1.09M PVE (reminder this number includes everyone who logged in, not people who actually played Pve, as well as anyone who went to orbit at all) 575.32K PVP (over HALF the PVE player base, also to remind you that all PVP numbers are also counter as PVE due to being in orbit at any point, orbit counts as PVE in Warmind) 192.34K Gambit 130.51K raids 346.28K Trials Again your own numbers prove you wrong… How many times do we have to do this before you finally get it. BOTH forms of evidence that were verifiable by me showed you as wrong. YOURE the one who is only using evidence that supports you, I have been using YOUR sources this entire time, which the moment they go against your own narrative you completely ignore them and find a different source, which then also proves you wrong. Even using Warmind which I stated previously is not accurate, proves you wrong. There’s no winning here for you man, all provided evidence points to over half the player base playing PvP, regardless of what fake numbers you create that are fact checked and come out as false. “Numbers do not lie. Politics, poetry, promises, these are lies. Numbers are the closest we get to the handwriting of god.”
-
I hate right-fighters. Blocked.
-
Lmao, you get proven wrong by every bit of evidence YOU provided, then block because you lost the debate Sorry you’re fragile
