STILL not getting the Transmog problem...
Bungie I’m afraid you’re still not understanding why this Transmog system is not popular.
It’s not that the system has too many currencies, it’s that the system uses currencies *AT ALL*.
If I want to go in and change the ornament on a piece of armor, it should work EXACTLY the same as if I want to go change the shader on that piece or armor.
Simple.
I’m not sure why everything needs to be a grind to you Bungie, but literally every player would prefer this.

1 ReplyMaking that a grind was so stupid. What if you want to swap gear? What if you get something better. You’re locked to a piece of gear now. I even have some laying around I’ll never use because of this. Just making everything an ornament would have made so much more sense

If it wasn't a grind, people wouldn't be driven to pay money to bypass that grind. It's not hard to figure out.

Everything that you do is about Paying. And you pay in 2 ways. One way is to spend real Money in the form of monetization. And the other is to spend Time in the form of grinding. Both will benefit them, NOT you. That's what this is all about. That's what's going on with the game now. They even do it with less effort by the way they throw recycled old content at you over and over again. Even transmog is recycled content. It's already in the game before it came out. Your armor cosmetics are also in there. None of it is new. Do you think they're doing this for you? NOPE! It's for them. Everything is for them. There is no Goodwill here. Greed rules here now!

instead of 10k glimmer for a bounty. it should be 10k glimmer to apply the look of one armor to another. nuff said.

They partially get it, I think. My issue with it is that it's too convoluted. Bungie always does this. They take something that should be relatively simple, and make it overly complicated for the sake of padding out gameplay ( and in transmogs case, encouraging micro transactions ). Transmog should have had 1 or 2 steps max. The current version has too many steps, and each part is tedious. My issue with the proposed change, is that Bungie is removing the step that I had the least issue with. For me, the new transmog isn't going to be any better than the current version.

I'm still not getting there's a problem with transmog ,I have transmogged all I want and still have plenty of bounties left for each character this season Maybe only the hardcore Dresstiny people have a problem with it

Doesn't have to be popular with some people, as long people like me pay why on earth would they listen to an issue that isn't an issue. The freemium route should never be the same as the paid route thats just stupid and for people to suggest that it should is nonsensical. Even if they gave you a way you would still complain that its too grindy. Paying customers should be rewarded over freemiums no different than a hardcore over a casual. I don't see the issue especially since 70% of people complaining probably on unemployment and have disposable income anyway for doing the one thing that they are good at, nothing.

They really should take example from ESO from Bethesda, and the way they do their transmog system. it requires a relatively difficult to obtain in-game currency that was already there. it would guarantee people would have to play the game to get that currency that they were already playing the game to get anyway... So wtf bungo?

Is it me or are the ornaments you get limited? You go through all that and only get the ornament for 3 pieces of armor then have to go through all that again?

I haven’t had an issue with it. It does highlight how most of the armor we’ve picked up looks like dump (imo). I find myself trying to make that “hard” decision what mog to unlock only to realize most of the options are boring af.

47 RepliesI'm not getting it.. Why do people need [b]all [/b]features to be entirely free? It's a damn game where you have to earn things, and they added the feature "Transmog" to these things. Not gonna lie but there are much bigger problems to complain about, than spending 10,000 Glimmer for a feature this community asked for 7 years.

At least the unlock system is a low key favorite system unlike the shaders which are pure chaos if you’ve played a long time and collected many. I got like 8 pages of shaders and finding that one I like is a pain and a guessing game as new ones shift them around.
