Who's ready to start overhyping Witch Queen!
Boy I sure do love hyping up the next DLC drop with unrealistic expectations! Can't wait for super cool characters such as Savathun to be brought into the game and even though I think she'll kick butt she will be about as strong as a pink wafer biscuit in the face of overpowered guardians who've killed smaller overload champions more threatening than her. :D

3 RepliesEdited by Corrick II: 6/30/2021 5:46:52 PMThat’s the problem with villains. You can’t kill them. The MCU has made this mistake for years, they keep killing off bad guys every time. When you kill the big bad, it cheapens the whole attempt. How could they really be that scary and powerful and godlike if six people (albeit immortal people) could kill them. Not to mention making no sense when we repeat the activity. That one Scorn Baron was a refreshing change there. Best we can hope for, from a narrative perspective, is a draw. Scare her off for a few more centuries, make the boogeyman run away. Otherwise they’re just another silhouette that we aim at until it goes down.

can't really hype it up without some info. teases are only 2% to the hype. we need a vidoc or something that has info of WQ. only thing we know is what the DLC armour is and a blurry green background. imho, not enough...yet.

I already hate this possession thing, I don't like that stupid-ass song (especially when it was introduced), and "this was Savathun all along" has made her hit the wall of me just not thinking it's good writing, just delaying. I hate the potential that Savathun will be an ally for any longer than half a campaign, I don't like the [i]potential[/i] waste of Quria's potential. She's hit the same wall Mara has. Any and all mention of her is either a "you should've been doing this wtf were you doing" or "this is dumb". With Mara it's more of the former and with Savathun it's a lot of the latter. The last remotely cool thing Savathun did was interrupt the Pyramids. It's been downhill since.>

I usually either wait until everything is laid out on the table to get somewhat hyped... If I see something I personally find fantastic I'll hype it up ( returning weapons ect.) But I never overhype the seasons just in case they fall short.

7 RepliesWitch queen is going to be the deciding factor of whether I keep playing this game or not. If this expansion doesn't do well, I won't bother buying it. I'm tired of wasting my money on stuff that doesn't even bring joy in my life, tired of utter disappointments, lack of unique and original content, tired of them taking away content, and tired of a story that doesn't excite me anymore. Bungie's not getting anymore money from me until they start giving me a game that's actually entertaining and worthwhile to play. This is it bungie. You got one chance. Give me 1000% on this expansion. Make it beautiful, memorable, enjoyable, and worthy of being an awesome expansion. Let your slogan inspire you to "Become Legend".

19 RepliesThis is why I havent preordered anything in destiny since destiny 2 release. I have no problem with people who preorder things. But when the product you preordered doesnt deliver, DO NOT complain because you are the reason they are able to get away with shipping something unfinished and half baked. Destiny has been doing this for so long... all you have to do is stop preordering unless you are prepared to cope with the product you bought with a smile on your face, no matter how badly it underdelivers. I have skipped out on buying more than half of the seasons since shadowkeep because I wait until half way through, when most of the content is out and I know what I am spending money on.

Can't overhype if there is no hype to begin with. When I see some actual core playlist progress I'll maybe get some interest . But I don't expect logic to prevail , Bungie will continue to call crucible , gambit , and strikes the CoRE playlist but refuse to do anything other than the bare minimum for support. All because of their decision to make them free to play . Now they won't invest in something they can't monetize.

They say nobody can predict the future but I can already tell the next DLC will be underwhelming and a grindfest. If Bungies past history and its most recent DLC, Beyond Light (more like beyond lite) is a benchmark we can predict just how shallow the content will be.
