But I do wish our other supers didnt get frozen, or that allies could shoot off ice to break allies free.

Unpopular is right.
-
2 RepliesI think it would be great if Allies could shoot you free, that would be a great mechanic. Also, people get so mad about freezing, but for stasis supers it’s basically you die if you get hit. How is that different than any other super in the game? Granted, I don’t think stasis should work on enemy supers, but the recent stasis nerf was a pretty good fix.

Edited by Infamous067: 4/28/2021 10:51:07 PMI Don’t mind warlocks having stasis, The other 2 are just annoying. The only reason I tolerate warlocks is because players are only frozen for a second so its not impossible to outplay them especially if they cant follow up. The melee has no tracking or at least very little tracking. The super is slow and its easy to escape, no matter how good the tracking is, it will never go through walls. Titans and hunters? They are busted. Im sorry but being frozen for 5 seconds from a titan melee or pretty much any stasis ability that last that long is busted, being inta killed by a hunter pocket nova bomb (shatter dive) is busted. Even after all the nerfs, shatter dive is still a threat and easy to get wipes. Being frozen by aimbot shurikens is busted considering being slowed gives a player 8 debuffs and bounce on walls. The titan slide is fine but busted when paired with the melee that has an insane tracking and range. Hunter stasis super is almost impossible to escape, the only way to outplay a hunter is somehow getting lucky enough to down him before he shoots his second attack. Behemoths are extremely difficult to pin down, their speed and AOE are off the charts when using super. The titan slide is just as annoying as shatter dive but thankfully its not so bad since they cant toss the grenade and instantly break it. Stasis needs a ton of tuning

With the nerfs its not hard to counter and still predictable as ever.
-
So you do mind it then

1 ReplyNerf or remove freeze from pvp.
-
1 ReplyI only use it for quests and the like, if I get caught and frozen I just chalk it up to me needing to be better. Same as Felwinter, igneous or anything else... we need to start asking for buffs because the nerfs always seem to go to far.
-
It’s very annoying, at this point I’m used to it though
-
I think the grenades are too potent otherwise the rest feels bearable
-
I LOVE IT!!
-
Imo I'd make any non-super freezes only freeze the legs, like Variks in the first BL mission, allowing teammates to help break you out early or at least allowing you to still fight back with limited movement. As far as the Stasis Supers go, they seem pretty balanced for the most part now.
-
1 ReplyI feel like the behemoth super might be a little overpowered. It feels like a significantly faster Fists of Havoc in its current state. I wish they’d remove a few of the half-dozen debuffs from slow too. Shatterdive’s still occasionally annoying. Other than that, it’s pretty nice. I like having abilities that function as a “fuck your super” button.
-
I don't mind it NOW so much. Maybe it's because I've accepted it along with the nerfs they brought to it, it feels almost okay. The only ability I have real issue with is Hunter infinite range ice ninja stars. Those things are fn bs, but still a VERY SLIGHT nerf to them and I honestly feel like it's good. I know getting frozen in your supet sux, but that SHOULD OCCUR IF IT'S A FEEEZE SUPER. Otherwise the ability makes no sense. I think the biggest thing is that no ability LESS than super tier can freeze a super. That is to say, no grenades or mellee abilty should be able to freeze a super. Fix that and just tame the range on the Hunter ninja stars and it's not too bad.

One time, i got frozen by a behemoth when i was with my arcstaff activated. I broke out and killed him. It felt so good.

1 ReplyWith the changes Stasis has now, it’s actually super close to being balanced. The only thing that I would change is that people get only slowed instead of frozen, and getting slowed doesn’t decrease weapon accuracy or reload speed. Even with the recent changes, being forced to stand still even only for a couple seconds is a HUGE deal. A couple seconds is a long time in a PvP scenario. In any fps game an ability that forces you to stand still is impossible to balance. Like for example, if they added a utility weapon to Team Fortress 2, like an ice cube you throw that freezes someone and keeps them in place without any way to defend themselves, people would hate it, as it would leave you completely vulnerable to Snipers and Spies, and give low-skill players a crutch for free kills. Same goes for something like Halo. If they added a new grenade in Halo Infinite, like a cryo grenade or something, and it freezes you in place with no way to fight back, it would get a lot of hate, because again, getting frozen in place with no way to fight back essentially gives low-skill players free kills. I think you get the point now though, so I will stop talking.

I don’t mind it either
-
8 RepliesSlow is still too powerful, supers shouldn’t get frozen, freeze should never last longer than 1.25 seconds, and each stasis super still needs to be pulled back maybe 5% overall.
-
4 RepliesWell you barely play pvp And you are below average at it when you do play So of course you don’t mind. Stasis caters to your type. don’t take those statements as insults or attacks on your opinion.
-
It is (arguably) mostly balanced now, they could definitely use some tuning in how they affect supers, but overall I don’t mind Stasis in its current state. It feels strong enough when I use it, but usually doesn’t feel game breaking when I play against it
-
I don't mind either... I'm rubbish no matter whats in pvp
-
I’m on this train too. It’s new tools to use.

3 RepliesI agree. It isn't as bad as people make it. Freezing is annoying, but it isn't as prevalent anymore. Having said that, Titans still need tweaking. They are still too difficult to take down mid-super. Their ability to freeze and block with ice in a very wide angle and range combined with the dmg resistance is painful. Granted, I get the skill gap is a big part of the Titan super feeling OP. It's not hard to see that some people are quite skilled at leveraging every advantage of Behemoth. This shouldn't be like the old fusion rifle nerfs, where Bungie nerfed because one guy during play testing was good with fusions. I'm thinking either a range nerf to ice and/or further reduction of dmg resistance during super. Not huge. Just a tweak.
-
Bump, at first I hated stasis but I have become accustomed to it. I still think that freezing does not belong in PvP. I’ll still continue to play as I enjoy stasis l. Until they buff light subclasses with aspects that grant stat bonuses l will continue to play with stasis.
-
I like how it is a normal thing now and everyone just adapted to the meta :) bump
-
It's nowhere near as bad as it used to be. Saying that though, slow is still too strong IMO (there's no reason it should tank your accuracy on top of everything else it does) and Behemoth still has insane mobility, especially in super. Kinda wish they reduced the distance you travel when using Shiver Strike a bit. Most of the time I die to Stasis nowadays though is due to either a Behemoth super or Silence and Squall, and that super isn't even that bad. As long as you dodge the initial freezing Kama, you're usually fine. The ice storm is so slow-moving it's usually pretty easy to avoid.
-
Yeah, me either. Tried D2 on xbox one, had there no stasis - fk Bungie I wont pay twice - and yeah, you really dont need it. But for gods sake, how people are playing on older generations, after ca 5 games I got ill, just so hard after playing on PC.
