I haven’t played a close game of PVP this season. Every game is a pubstomp. Either my teams stomping or we are getting stomped. And when it stays in the lobby teams don’t flip to even out. They stay the same and the pub stomp continues.
Please examine how you stack or balance your lobbies. This makes PvP not very fun.

Because Crucible is neither SBMM nor CBMM. It’s just a Throw Everyone In And See What Happens.

Because Bungie can't create a balanced MM system or balance PvP for crap.

I'll try explain it so you can understand. Control gives you double points, or triple, depending on how many zones you have. You following so far? Good. If a team has two zones for the entire match, then that team will have twice as many points if every single gunfight is a trade. Because 2 zones = 2x points remember buddy? Automatically that would result in a 150-75 score (if there was no mercy rule of course). Wow, that looks like an absolute drubbing doesn't it champ? But hold on, every team got 75 kills and 75 deaths. How silly of us, that's not a drubbing, it's just basic maths. Add in the occasional triple cap, and all of a sudden that score becomes 150-60. Whew, that looks like a super big score. Surely that's a pasting. Oh the kills are 60 and deaths are 60, for both teams you say? Well this is awkward. Suddenly these absolute pubstomps you're complaining about are nothing more than people who haven't mastered their 2 and 3 times tables. If you're getting mercied every game with scores of 90-6 then fine. If you're getting mercied every game by teams that aren't capping zones then fine. But you're not. You lost cuz your team didn't get more points than the other team due to poor zone control. Plain and simple. Its not cbmm at fault, it's not hunter shatterdiving, it's not titan behemoth, it's not top tree dawnblade, it isn't telesto, it's not Luke Smith, it isn't because of stompees, it's not rigged. It’s not anything besides people not understanding very simple maths.

I’m not a game developer and don’t know how to code networking for PVP but, ever since they removed SBMM (which was a good thing) and replaced it with eh…something else? The connections have been pretty awful since really, that does play into it but… Overall PVP is an awful experience, aside from connections you have stasis which ruins the game, you can’t base your game on movement and speed and then give people the ability to freeze you for about a year, maps are too small for 6v6, originally they were designed for 4v4, I’d say 5v5 is about the sweet spot, shotgun apes who can slide 15 metres close the gap and blast you, the ammo economy is allowing them to never have to use their primary. The stomping thing is down to team balancing which doesn’t seem to exist anymore but, to answer your question, its PVP and in PVP you are always going to have consistency. I’m not great at PVP, I took a year out form D2 and came back with this expansion, its taken me this long just to figure out what weapons work best for me now, give that my go to blast furnace was sunset, so I just go in each day ant try to get better at the game, that would be my advice, if you get stomped, you get stomped and that’s it, pick the things that work for you, use them and get better at decision making, when my team gets stomped my goal is, don’t be bottom of my team, when we win. Eh…..don’t be bottom of my team

Edited by sickchocthunder: 2/5/2021 2:29:46 PMI get the odd game that's slightly balanced, but yeah shax's Matchmaking sucks It's great when you've waited ages in the lobby for shax to call it several minutes in

I see every 6v6 lobby as an opportunity to see how hard I can ball. I’m also pretty sure matchmaking knows that because I’m forced to carry blueberries constantly. If I had twelve arms I’d never lose a game ever.
Easiest solution: buy mechanical arms Practical solution: continue being pub stomped

there is no winning big dog, unless you have 10 mechanical arms on deck
