• The lore for the game is just so interesting and how they put it together in such ways. I like to watch My Name Is Byf and some lore stuff like these weapons are alive just catch my eye in so many ways. Just like how the wizards came from the moon.

  • It’s kind of the same reason I love Star Wars (though I do like Star Wars stuff a bit more), where there’s so much mystery and stuff we can expand on, while the base solar system and areas we know about and can explore are cool in of themselves.

When I look for a game I want two things: Fun Immersion Any game with substantial lore is a game that I play Advently, and study lore like my science homework. Stuff like Halo, Warhammer 40K, Destiny, Etc. Games with expansive lore are the best kinds of games to me, because it shows us that the secs has enough care to give us background to current events. It’s always cool to see an enemy and know what they are doing, why they are there, why they want to kill you, etc. Typically rpg need extensive lore to keep players immersed.

  • Well it's a lot of reasons.. The alien races are so interesting, and their cultures are so deep The world feels post apocalyptic, and learning about what happened before we got there is a treat But most importantly it make me, the player, feel special. Whenever I'm called young wolf or hero of the red war I just feel... important, like this fictional world actually wants me there

    • same reason i like lore from all my fave games it’s a world with history, interesting characters, and stories. all from different perspectives in the universe you play in. it’s also interesting to see exactly how the world works around your playable character, and gives you the insight on what your character had lived through, what they missed, how things were before their time, and how things are happening around them. plus i’m a nerd so... i like reading lol

    • For Martin O’Donnell, who had his narrative baby ripped away from him and butchered in front of millions of people who did nothing to support him.

    • Why do I like Destiny’s lore? Destiny’s lore is a very complex system that doesn’t get enough light in game and in the story. It tells multiple tales of super interesting characters and events. From the stories of Dredgen Yor and Shin Malphur, to the life and death of The Iron Lords, to now with complex stories surrounding groups like the Kentarch-3 and their effort to secure Divinity. The Clovis Bray journals, Books of Sorrow, Last Days on Kraken Mare, Stolen Intelligence; all the lore books help fill in the goings on and history of the world which is something that I admire about it all. It helps give that little bit of context to events and I like that. If I have to pick some favs: Kraken Mare, Eva’s Journey, The Maraid, Stolen Intelligence, The Lie and Unveiling are all great reads. Why do I like the lore? Because it’s enjoyable to read, and when you really sink your teeth in and get to understand it, it becomes very interesting and engaging.

      • I love destiny's lore because of the depth and the wide variety of stories. Every character, every change in game, has a lore reason behind it. For example, javelin 4. Why can we still play it? Well it's because it's a vex simulation. Every race has its very deep backstory. Like the eliksni and their whirlwind. The cabal and their empire. The hive and their beginnings on Fundament. The vex and the black garden. The taken and their taken king. There are sooooo many stories. As soon as I heard their was a lore seal I chased it right away 😂

      • I don’t like the lore. I love it. XD The world of Destiny’s lore is so vast, with so many different stories, some connected and others not, interesting characters, events and plots, mysteries, tiny details and grand schemes.

        • It brings life and meaning to the game. To know why we are playing it. I like to know the culture of the enemies we take for granted.

        • Honestly I love reading about fresh and new sci-fi worlds. Destiny 1 did a poor job of explaining a lot of the universe, but I remember a few years back reading through Wikipedia articles that summarized a lot of the lore that had been built up over years, and obviously Destiny 2 has made massive improvements in terms of story telling, so it's really just nice to watch a structured world come together, where in the beginning it was all very convoluted. Now - it seems so massive and all very connected.

          • I used to enjoy it especially in D1. I still like the lore in D2 but sadly I think te writing has gone downhill alot, not the stories but the text itself, and because of that I find it hard to get invested anymore.

BrayTech. Last City Life. Hive. In terms of why I like the lore, I like how much of it there is. You can find it everywhere.
