Im not a streamer (I can't stream this game because I can't take myself seriously being a Destiny streamer). That being said, I read what Gladd said about the day 1 experience... and I honestly balled over laughing. He said that the adds were too easy but the mechanics were hard. ... ... ... Flipping it is the truth. The mechanics are incredibly easy (just punishing screw ups) but the adds were a massive issue. I watched a bit of his stream and his team thought the same. Captians in the final phase were an issue, and trash mobs in the 2nd encounter were a problem killing people during DPS phases. I did a sherpa right after day 1 with half the group being completely blind, finished the whole raid in about 1 hour. You can describe every encounter in just a few quick sentances, its not that complicated because each roll is simple. Spotter looks for glowing yellow, operator shoots panels or players caught in purple bubble, suppessor shoots boss under drones that are on the same side as the boss. Then its just, move bombs to call outs and don't let debuff hit x10 or cleanse boss ball in phase 2 in an airlock. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW SOOOOOOOOOO COMPLICATED.

  • Any raid can be easy if you have thumbs.

  • No. At least Destiny, sure. Other games? F no. They usually take a metric ton longer to learn much less clear. For example. Somecallmejohhny on Youtube took an entire year to clear The Epic of Alexander on FFXIV which is fairly normal for a dedicated player to accomplish as it took 1.5 weeks of non stop raiding for world's first to be called. It's a single fight, just complicated and punishing AF and Bungie just won't or can't make something like that.

  • Fair point, and i agree to a certain extent. Raids in Destiny may not be as complicated as in other games, but i find them enjoyable and so do many others. For experienced raiders, such as ourselves, things are easier to us than they would be to someone else. I also think VoG was the best raid in the Destiny franchise, but DSC is good and enjoyable

[/quote] VS Atheon randomly teleports 3 players into either Venus or Mars, remaining players outside open up the portal, players inside get the relic, disrupt the oracles and get out foe dmg phase. Both teams go on the middle for dmg phase. Thats it. You're right, people over reacts to multitasking overcomplicated mechanics... • The issue is I am a raider... like I don’t just raid in Destiny raider. Once you have outside perspective you realize all these complaints about raid complexity of mechanics is so laughably bad. I just described an entire raids mechanics in a paragraph to where people will quickly go in blind and clear it in 2 hours. Has anyone here ever read a raid guide in an MMO before? It’s almost a full presentation document of different phases and mechanics... and that’s just one fight, not the entire raid. So whenever people complain about Destiny raiding being too easy it’s a “no duh, it’s designed that way”. When they complain about it being too hard they deserve to be facepalmed. It’s only hard when undergeared trying to do the mechanics because adds can quickly kill you and take longer to kill than it was originally designed for.
