DONT GET RID OF MY PLANETS MAN

personally its dumb to get rid of the planets, activites patrols material farming trying to get planetary emblems and other stuff. constant hours of grinding just gonna go away? im blown they just wanna “vault” stuff cause the game is to big. come on there are plenty of largers games that havent removed old content to make way for new stuff. guess bungie just doesnt want to or idk. im not an employee just a lover of their games. plus why are you gonna add the old raids and get rid of the new planets from a new game? come on thats just bs your trying to please people with old stuff. we only wanted hawkmoon and no land beyond. whatever im a butthole with a opinion like i said this is just a personal opinion so dont get mad or butthurt or rant at me.

  • There’s like one bigger game... it’s COD MW... and that game has tons of problems with size. And no one cares about those planets anyway. No one will miss them.

Let's be real for a second. Before S11, the only reasons to visit Mercury, Io, Titan, etc was for a small handful of story missions along with the occasional quest step or bounty here and there, if that. After that, they were pretty pointless. Getting rid of old, outdated content to make room for the new stuff is a natural part of developing an evolving game. World of Warcraft does it as well. You're gonna be okay.

      • I think it’s ok since destiny is becoming more of a live service game and if they plan on extending the game and continually adding new things eventually old stuff will have to go. It just hits hard this time because so much has to go because it’s the first cleansing

        •
so dont get mad or butthurt or rant at me.
You're in the wrong place for that, buddy. 😂 But yes. It's Bungie incompetence and not actually knowing how to develop a game (true indie developers with much smaller teams make Bungie look like clowns). As well as that, they are forcing us to play how they want us to instead of letting us play how we want to. All of this is because we've not been using their new weapons, armour or playing their game modes because they're sh*t, so their solution is to remove content so we have to play the new content.

              • There are very few games that take up the same file size as D2, and most of those are built on new engines made within the last 5 years. Bungies using an updated version of their halo engine. D1 raids are coming back because people begged for them in D2 literally since D1 ended.

                • Its not that Destiny 2 is to big for hard drives, its that it is to big for Bungie to manage. They could keep making the game bigger and bigger but really they are loosing control of it. So to make it more manageable they are removing the lease played content. Personally I'm bummed about loosing mars really like the place, but I'm not gonna die over it.
