TFW you finally get the Better Devils roll you've been chasing for near-two years, only for it to be useless to you in a little over three months.
Figures, the moment I stopped caring about chasing the gun is the moment I get it...

1 ReplyI finally got a snapshot Elegy from the gunsmith just two weeks ago after having spent every single spare gunsmith material since forsaken on gunsmith engrams. And they think sunsetting is good with this much RNG.

The only time I ever changed it was when I needed some distance, and then it was Nameless Midnight and nothing else. I’ve probably got over 15,000 kills with my Better Devils. Then came along my Duke MK.44 Outlaw/Rampage roll. Ooh boy, I love that thing. It’s also got well over 12,000 kills on it. While I don’t use it nearly as much as I used to, it’s going to be a sad day when it’s no longer viable for me to use in PvE. 😭 Now what pisses me off is that I had been chasing after a Feeding Frenzy/Kill Clip/Meyrin RDL scope Blast Furnace since the forges came out. I only finally got my roll last month. I grinder every damn week for that thing. I love it, and now it’ll be useless soon. If Bungie is going to sunset weapons, they need to up the RNG chances at getting our desired god roll. Otherwise what’s the point of even grinding weapons?

1 ReplyEven though that sucks, Funny story: Remember that Centurion Oryx took right after you landed on the Dreadnaught, then the Centurion and the taken Ogre tried to stop you from killing the King? Heh... didn't work. So the Centurion's bond brothers are pretty angry they lost their commander. They're leading a team to blow up the Dreadnaught's core. Core goes... most of the system goes with it. You're going to make sure that doesn't happen.

Sunsetting happened in d1 we’ll get through it. Also sunsetting will only effect what you use in power enabled activities you can still use that better devils in about 80% of the content regardless of weapon sunsetting

I remember farming over 300 strikes in D1 trying to get a hopscotch pilgrim to drop. They nerfed it 3 weeks after I got it and sunset it. /sadface

1 ReplyMy first random roll better devils drop in Forsaken was steady hand, drop mag, outlaw, kill clip, range masterwork. So I just stopped looking at them at that point. RNG is one way to drive up playtime.
