Given how quickly it spreads, if you did have it there would likely have been an outbreak in your area. The fact it was limited to your family and friend and not your community could imply it was not COVID-19.
There are multiple other diseases that can cause similar symptoms. I had enterovirus years back and it sounds similar to what you're describing.

Yeah but it's only been an issue since people have been making it an issue. Since it acts like a normal flu to young people, alot more people were probably infected but just brushed it off because it wasn't a big deal at the time. Still, without proper testing theres no way to know for sure, but it's totally feasible

Back in December? China hadn't even identified it until late December. The initial whistle-blower, Dr. Li, first identified it in December, warning his colleagues on December 30th. It has a doubling rate of 3 days. If it was in the US (unidentified) back in December, why did it take so long to spread? Why wasn't the US seeing an outbreak in parallel to China?

Edited by FatBabyDragon: 3/27/2020 4:41:45 AMLike I said, alot of people probably had it and thought of it as a normal flu. Which means there were probably lots of people infected before the virus was discovered. I'm not saying that this is the truth and the law, I'm just saying that it's possible.

There seems to be a case of hypochondria going around too.
