The only common encounter I have with someone who would probably self describe herself as "Woke" is my sister's friend. A nice girl, but I am just left speechless at times. Any advice on how I could have responded (in a non-snarky way) would also be appreciated! Times I was left speechless: 1. The movie Bohemian Rhapsody was in theaters. I asked her if she'd seen it. Her answer was that she would not see it, because the actor portraying Freddie Mercury was Caucasian (apparently the real Freddie Mercury was had some African ethnicity). 2. Another movie example. We were discussing what to watch and somebody mentioned the Green Book. She said she wouldn't want to watch that because of its White Savior Complex (in the movie, a white person assists a black musician).
