So now that old guns are useless (if they aren’t viable in endgame then they are useless) will you refund any silver to buy ornaments? Since you lied to us to sell them ( you’ve said you didn’t want guns we earned to be useless in last twabs and cuts).
I’m guessing not because your among the scummiest companies of all time.

Since you lied to us to sell them ( you’ve said you didn’t want guns we earned to be useless in last twabs and cuts). I’m guessing not because your among the scummiest companies of all time.
That's just the thing about the weapon retirement, it's not to give us more powerful weapons, it's to give us weaker weapons in the place of our now more powerful weapons. "Power creep" is nothing more than a red herring or straw man. Bungie wants us to have to constantly reload our weapons to slow us down to artificially extend play time and take your money, that's it! Anybody who can't see this is either a troll, a Bungie employee masquerading as a gamer, Bungie Defense Force Fanboys, ninjas who love to ban people speaking the truth (truth hurts) or someone who's as blind as a bat. I'm very seriously considering not playing the next two seasons, although they're bought and paid for, there's no reason to play these next two seasons if everything earned is obsolete in less than a year anyway (more or less). There's no point to get any seasons after that either, you're just renting the weapons. And to those talking about fun, fun? What fun? Destiny's not fun any more, not to me. Think about it before you spend any more money on Bungie, that's all I ask. Is it really worth it? If it is for you, have fun, if you can. Here's a saying for players to contemplate, something from back in Fallout 76: Why throw good money after bad? Bungie is becoming Bethesda! Let that sink in. I've already dropped Bethesda, it looks like I'll be dropping Bungie as well if they keep their crap up!

I give up with people like you. Make something actually well thought out and constructive next time.

RIP duke 2020

1 ReplyD3 is about 18 months away and they are doing this!! .... D2 is my last Bungie purchase

3 RepliesYou're going to see a very vocal minority saying things like 'good, leave if you don't like it', a very vocal minority who'll put up with this bullshit despite all new weapons being reskinned old weapons with weaker perks. Know why they'll have weaker perks? Because this is about power creep and Bungie is phasing our powerful weapons. Kills metas too, you just make all new/old reskinned weapons equally less powered. They'll also be very similar, and you won't see any real ingenuity with what few new perks you get. This vocal minority will accept it because 'the story', despite the fact that D2 is being built around a tiny trickle of seasonal content by a skeleton crew while Bungie focuses on their new, Chinese funded game. D3 is likely being chopped up and entered into this trickle of content, and there might never be a D3. A vast majority of players are thinking about leaving, biding their time since they bought into this year's worth of trickled content. Some have left already, unlikely to return because of the aforementioned. The next DLC will disappoint as much as SK did; between players not buying that, and players refusing to pay for things with silver, Bungie is looking at a serious problem. Lastly, there are alternatives to Destiny now, and a few good ones coming out over the next couple of years. If you don't like weapon retirement, reskinned content, scammy loot box/pay to look good with stuff you can't earn in the game nonsense, take a step back from the game. Play something else.

1 ReplyPick another weapon. There will be plenty to choose from. Y’all act like somebody is snatching your baby blankets away ffs.

40 RepliesFirst off - these changes arent even happening yet, likely not even during this season. I don't know if everyone just read the bit about them having life expectancy and stopped to invade the forums with cry me a river posts, but they were mentioned as a sort of "this is something we are considering at some point. Secondly, no one knows how this will work. Maybe some legendaries have a longer life expectancy than others, while the more easily obtained one's have a shorter one. Thirdly, try new weapons. The only reason they're looking at this is because everyone gets one weapon and uses it for literally everything 100% of the time. Its boring. Use different weapons, make them optimal through your expertise with them. Don't crutch on the same things nonstop.
-
I’m assuming by “endgame” you think it’s just ordeal. News flash, raids aren’t power leveled
-
Jesus if you want nothing to change go back and play destiny 1 the game needs this or everyone will be using the same crutch weapons season after season in pvp
-
1 ReplyTo everyone so pissed about this I just have to ask, why are you so surprised? They deleted everything we eared the first three years with D2 Vanilla after telling us Destiny was a 10 year journey where presumably our character and gear would persist. We all knew something like this was gonna happen again with D3, why would you spend money on silver for stuff that you didn't assume would be gone at some point?

Go get a box of tissues and a bottle of formula, then crap in your diaper... Refund silver? What?!?! Lol.... Nobody forced you to buy anything... This -blam!-ing brats in this game lol

8 RepliesEdited by pugwash1: 3/4/2020 10:29:14 PMheres the activities 'useless' weapons can be viable in strikes patrols forges normal crucible (quickplay and comp) gambit & gambit prime levathian raids (including crown of sorrow) last wish shattered throne garden of salvation nightfalls (regular and the ordeals) pit of heresy what these weapons won't be viable in iron banner tirals of osiris grandmaster nightfalls see how small the activites of not viable is compared to the viable id say your blowing this way out of perportion also you only do patrols and stirkes so you complain about endgmae stuff like raids and so on and yet you have no record of doing so
-
Lol, the people here. If it isn't endgame viable, it's useless? That's just not true. People react way too quickly and emotionally when it comes to this game. The game is definitely going to be better for this. I'm looking forward to having, for example, raid weapons that are actually unique and exciting, rather than playing new content for the same weapons I already have...and and have had for 2 years.

7 RepliesTo be fair this isn't happening till Year 4. Still has time to change... (hopefully)

14 RepliesIt's funny that most people complaining do barely any or in your case zero endgame content.
-
Why are we worried about this right now. It would go in effect until the next comet dlc. Even then it’s supposed to prevent power creep which in turn already does this artificially, it makes old weapons completely useless due to other weapons being way more powerful.
-
Bro who the -blam!- buys Legendary Ornaments for Silver? Haha you're dumb if you do so
-
Oh man
-
22 RepliesBeen playing Division 2 and it’s wayyyyy better now. Jump ship and bungie will listen.

You have no one else but yourself to blame for paying real money for some ornament. It’s difficult to ask for reparation when you complacently supported the prejudice to begin with.

1 ReplyEdited by Yum The Bot: 3/4/2020 10:55:03 PMNo no no. You're useless. You get farmed in the endgame... You don't even play the endgame. Stop jumping on the negative hype. Anyone can look at your recent games to see this does not affect you in anyway!
-
Actually they aren't useless if you cant use them in the endgame. They still work quite well

I AM ROBOT. I DO NOT critical think. Bro, bra, chill. Your binkie was the coolest thing in the world when you were a baby. Should you infuse it to adulthood? Making sucky face at your interview for that next job? Retire your old love and upgrade that for it's younger sibling. They're cute, they haven't been used by every person a hundred times a day..... They'll even give you something different in the..... You get the idea. I mean, I remember my first beer.
