3 RepliesTo many cheaters in the game atm Combine that with the terrible MM... Yeah..so much fun..

So ive had my fun moments in PvP up until season of the dawn. We all know running around with special weapons isnt a new thing. But lately I have found my performance slowly declining. Part of it is just being burnt out and also there is no variety of loadouts anymore. You see different guns here and there but it feels like the non meta weapons were made even worse. (I'll have to look at the twab again). Anyways I just wish we had a ritual auto Rifle or something that can actually compete with pinnacles. Then it all comes down to skill. As much as I love the game and bungie I dont forsee any more love going towards some small fixes.
-
stopped playing PvP in D2 because as a low skill PvP player (I'm primarily PvE), i wasn't enjoying PvP in D2
-
2 RepliesBesides the terrible connections I also find players dominating match after match after match. Sure its probably skill.....but skill means squat when you aren't taking damage. Solo Comp is absolutely crap.
-
2 RepliesIt really is broken. What changed last season to this season?
-
I don’t even feel like playing pvp as much as I too last season or season of opulence I’m always seeing unbrokens even though I only hit legend once and I still get stomped the only way I get to enjoy crucible is with my friends

4 RepliesIt's the matchmaking for me. I have only played solo Comp for PvP this season, as it's what I like. Some games, I get more kills than the other team combined, feel like Billy Badass, carry my team, and know I'm the best player in the lobby. Some games, there a guy on the other team that just can't be killed. He's always in the right place with the right gun or ability to get another kill. I check my games after the end on DTR: in the games where I feel like a hero, the matches are generally even or in our favor by some margin. In the games where I get stomped, it generally someone at least 3 or 4 elo brackets higher with at least 1000 more glory and a Not Forgotten. Matchmaking is wildly inconsistent, and doesn't seem to be doing its job: if you drop a person with multiple 5500 seasons into a game of 3200 players, guess what's going to happen? Of all the PvP fixes I'd like, more consistent matching that takes career data into account would be top of that list.

It's a sweat fest. Litteral garbage experience! wtf
-
Edited by SharkRapter: 1/15/2020 3:16:23 PMIt’s because there are less players lately leaving less people to match with which makes a good match up that much harder to achieve, let alone one with a good connection. There is no reason for players to play pvp, until that changes I dont see this getting any better.

1 ReplyPlayer pool has dwindled - massively on PC - and the MM system just cant cope with it. This is nothing new for Destiny but at the moment it is the worst I have ever seen in five years. People just don't want to play anymore.
-
3 RepliesIf Bungie would cut out the easy button weapons, it would be pretty good. It's hilarious watching people just use arbalest/Jotunn/LoW all game and still go negative though.
-
The crucible has devolved down to a low skill arena filled with OHK special weapons and abilities. In my opinion it’s beyond saving at this point. Bungie doesn’t have a competent team behind the crucible and probably never will.
-
Agreed. And I am really disappointed that after all the people complaining about how bad it is that Bungie still has not done anything to address it. I guess I really shouldn't be surprised. I worked hard to become better at Crucible and now I don't even want to go in there. I have a friend who Crucible what is the main reason he played this game and he has pretty much given up on it. To me that says more than anything else, when somebody who is a die-hard PVP player doesn't even want to touch it anymore because of lag issues, completely unbalanced weapons, nerfing pinnacle weapons he busted his ass for (before all the quests were made easy because of all the crying snowflakes ). It's all pretty sad how bad it's gotten
-
Oh, did you get matched against a clan all of all hunters running fusions rifles and really laggy too? Was trying to play a chill match. Still played with a funky loadout cause I wanted too and loved killing them (plus dont give a dang about k/d so that helps). But still, sheesh. Voop Voop, that was the sound of the fun police that game.....
-
Seems like crucible pool got shorter and most who stayed are sweaty forcing others to be sweaty to compete. I played a few games this evening and first 3-4 matches were imbalanced 3v6 or 4v6 for 2-3 minutes. And given we have SBMM i believe i played mostly medium players as never got to fabled ever.

Just a lag fest... lobbies made up from people all over the world.... it’s not a quality gaming experience

2 RepliesI'm gonna get labeled tinfoil hat whatever, however, this is my experience. Every. -blam!-ing. Game. Stomp team up to 5:59 marker. Other team becomes invincible. Shots whiff past everything. Every encounter ends with opposing enemy walking away with a sliver of life. ZERO indication on map of enemy player. Reticle always just a hair behind hit box. Other team closes gap. I go back to completely stomping other team again. Player backs out of lobby. I can identify almost every single time I lose an engagement and it's directly related to a player leaving the game. Well within range of a 150 I'll three tap them and they survive. Turn around and get face smacked with mindbenders. Grenades magically do no damage. Surprise someone backed out and caused lag spike. HORRENDOUS lag. Hardwired to PS4, 1 bar connection to host. Yep, playing CBMM classic mix. Nope. Nothing else connected to my router. Set NetDuma to only matches within 1000 miles. Get babooned every other game because you're trying to match me with people from -blam!-ing China. PvP is absolutely the worst it has ever been. The sad part is that on console right now there are a lot of viable loadouts that could be fun. But every match is a -blam!-ing lag sweatfest so I don't even want to play anymore. In D1 I could not WAIT to throw on my adept doctrine of passing and play. Now? I load in and think what's even the -blam!-ing point? Bungie you've killed this game.

1 ReplyThis is not a PvP centric game. It's a casual game made for appealing to families, dads, moms, grand parents, etc. If you want to play good PvP you need to play games with good servers and a focus on PvP.

7 RepliesYou accidentally put the word "lately" in your title...
-
1 ReplyEdited by Fibby: 1/14/2020 2:16:44 PMIt has been an inconsistent lag fest since the days of D1 beta when i first played this franchise, nothing new here. Only one thing is consistant, if you have a horrible connection to the rest of the lobby you are borderline impossible to kill. Playing the Italians and Spanish is laggy enough, but you gotta love it when that one player connecting from another continent that its in your otherwise European lobby always tops the scoreboard since they barely take any damage.
-
1 ReplyIf by lately you mean forsaken....then yes. It has been bad since everyone could main shotgun.
-
13 RepliesI think I've finally had it with the shot registration shenanigans.

F#$k
SBMM made the games laggy and take forever to find

1 ReplyNot gonna like I had the most fun I've ever had playing the momentum control this past week grinding for revoker and mountain top. You die a lot but it's really fun to have literally every weapon in the game on an equal level of killing time. Oh? Someone has a rocket launcher? That's no problem because I have a Jade Rabbit that can 1HK him. You wanna run in with a shotgun? That's cool cause all melees will kill you, oh also sniper body shots are gonna do that. It was just a really good time, and if you just try to stay unsalty its super fun. Hell even COMP is really enjoyable these days. Survival is really fair and the solo queue is a blessing from heaven.
-
As long as there's something to chase, it's okay. I'm currently playing Momentum Control, trying do the Komodo Dragon quest. I'm actually having fun. I like this mode. After I finish this quest, I'm not sure what reason there is for me to play the Crucible. In general, the rewards are pitiful.
