Heavy Kills Step
Why on earth have you put a step in the IB Quest that involves needing to get Heavy? It may easily just be me but I think this is one of the worst quest steps you have every done - I struggle enough as it is to even get Heavy in the first place, now basically all I am going to do is camp heavy best that I can - so there goes me trying to help the team that I am in.
Now on Bungie if you are going to make us repeat quests for IB Armour, please for the love of all that is good on this earth - do not have Power Weapon kills required!
EDIT: Well done Bungie, you have ruined IB completely now for myself and others (not all) will feel the same. It has come to a stage on this step that if the enemy controls Heavy, I'm gone.... I ain't wasti g my time Bungie.
You seriously need to think about what you are doing with IB and Crucible in general.
You come up with mundane, boring and infuriating quest steps for what.... Old armour, the same old weapons that's been there for seasons. If you want IB to be replay able , to attract players - make worthwhile, reward us for our time invested!

I’ve gotten 2/3 characters through the quest line and the games a pretty much on par for the event. Very chaotic, and fun.

1 ReplyHad literally 4 matches in a row where the heavy spots were camped by pre-made clan teams, two of them with bubble titans. This is not fun. This is grueling. And the only reason I am doing it is to unlock the armor sets for my hunter and warlock, and since I already have it on my titan, no way in hell I'm gonna go through that on him as well.

Eta The straw that broke the camels back I had 22 kills and a 2.2 kd. It’s not that I had a bad game. I was just sick of not getting heavy game after game.

It's annoying to have the quest to unlock the armor and the bounties as well. One or the other is fine with me. But i hate being told how to play. Why even have an objective based game mode if you're gonna change the objective to "camp the heavy"?

1 ReplyIt's not just you. I've done it with 1 character so far. It's not enjoyable, breezed through most of the quest without too much difficulty but I think around 70% of my time doing this quest was doing the rocket launcher kills. Trying to do this solo is really annoying. More often than not I have been the only guy on my team trying to get Heavy ammo, whereas the other team are usually a clan grouping together. The few times I have managed to get ammo I have encountered terrible lag/glitches in which enemies will not die despite being hit point blank. Really reluctant to do this with my other two characters.

5 RepliesThe people on this thread who can't get 10 rocket kills in 2-3 games are the same people who were crying not to long ago that they wanted a 10$ refund for this season.

Especially since they nerfed ammo received from heavy ammo bricks too... Sometimes I swear we’re heading back to dual primaries if some players have their way. You know that time when Destiny was at its worse and was put on life support.

6 RepliesI opted out of IB this season. No reason to do it. Pinnacles? Nah....I can gain ten levels in a day the start of next season. The same IB set for the third time? Nah....I have ornaments I prefer more. Triumphs? Nah.....I could care less about those anymore. Always preferred the grimoire in D1 over this title and emblem garbage.

16 RepliesThe IB quest is just a way to stretch out play time. It’s not that it’s difficult, I just don’t like the quest idea for IB and preferred it before Bungie added it in.

1 ReplyThis is the best thing regarding PVP that I can remember Bungie doing since releasing Gambit which is PVEVP. Simply cause of all the complaints from the PVP players it brings out. Hope they do it more and up that body-count for the steps!

4 RepliesSomething else infuriating is lag, full on Wardcluff shot and it didn't even damage the person because o their lag. IB and Crucible is in such a mess right now and I truly don't think Bungie cares at all.

2 RepliesIts the worst to date, when everyone complained about forges being too difficult they fixed asap, I stopped playing destiny for almost a year, got back and see the same crap in crucible plus how the new power system and quest ruined IB and I have to congratulate bungie in that regard because I used to think those game modes couldn't be more -blam!-ed up, but as always they proved me wrong

3 RepliesI agree that a heavy only weapon quest step is tough. I’m struggling with it at the moment when the others just felt like a nice change up in your loadout. Maybe a bow kill quest step with extra points for heavy bow kills would have been good.

It really sucks, especially for me because I genuinely enjoy iron banner, and wait for it bungie.... I'd play it Without Artificial Grind Quests. Yep, I'd play for Fun, kinda like everyone did back in D1 !!

Yup just camp the heavy. Win loose doesn't matter it is Iron Banner. Need that heavy hey waste a super to kill that one guy so you can grab a rocket.....On I guess the plus side the bounties are such a joke. Had all of them done and still needed a couple rocket kills....
