When you say that you're getting "terrible armor" - does this mean you're getting low stat rolls, or elemental affinities that don't match the mods you wish to use?
If this is a stat roll issue, what are the values you're currently seeing, and from what sources?
Thanks!
Eleven hundred pennies in my pocket is statistically better than a single ten dollar bill. But, aside from a fungible change at a bank to a ten and a one dollar bill, those pennies are vastly inferior to carrying it around and general usability. Limited is limited.
The old armor system required hundreds of sets if you wanted every possible perk combination. The current system requires only 3. Armor 2.0 is significantly better Han 1.0 in almost every way.

There is already a separate menu for ornaments, and we don't recall it every 2 seconds, it would only have to load everything when needed, don't see the problem there tbh.
There is already a separate menu for ornaments, and we don't recall it every 2 seconds, it would only have to load everything when needed, don't see the problem there tbh.
That screen isn’t on every armor piece with every mod and shader. There would be more items to load than the emote tab, which is the laggiest thing in the game.
-
Create a completely different menu for ornaments then, that only loads when needed... ...I honestly can't believe that this is a real issue.

You don’t need to ask the community. If you idiots actually played your own game you would have picked up the EDZ obelisk bug and realised the new armor stats are lower than what everyone grinded out in season 8 and therefore have no reason to change. The community managers response says alot about the state of the game and how oblivious Bungie is to the glaring problems in the game.

Edited by Demon_XXVII: 12/19/2019 12:03:49 PMStat rolls are a joke (always 40-50) & with higher number of that total being on something I never need Constantly dropping same elements The exotic drops are at an appalling rate Pinnacle rewards constantly being something like Class Item or a weapon archetype I never use (Snipers/Shotguns/Bows/LFR) A bloomin ‘Mod’ as reward for a 980 Hunt (then made worthless by the armour system & artefact changes/weapon meta) Why would anyone MW armour (only to see it made obsolete when the season changed & it couldn’t accept Dawn mods) The ‘price’ of Masterworking Armour is akin to the currency of Venezuela...and offers the benefits of an umbrella in a hurricane Armour 2.0 is a Trojan Horse nerf & the artefact is a control method to limit the weapons/gear we use It’s hardly ‘play your way’ Then there’s the inescapable grind & monotony of reusing assets - Strikes/Gambit/kill 1765 Fallen with a Victoria Sponge cake Oh & let’s not forget the bugs in the code Basically since ShadowKeep, this game is hitting new lows at every turn Buck your god damn ideas up ...or just refund & concentrate on things that Matter (We know you’re 90% concentrating on that IP anyway- with D2 on a skeleton crew)

Never going to use this seasonal armour with an extra mod slot thats ONLY applicable to that season, ever. Get it out the game.
-
Low stat rolls are a damn plague in this game. 90% of the armor drops are genuine trash because of it.
-
If it helps, the only stay rolls above 60 I have ever received are from this season pass.
-
If it helps, the only stay rolls above 60 I have ever received are from this season pass.
They drop from pinnacle activities. The raid and iron banner drop the best.

What I think he is trying to say is..... Armor 2.0 is a -blam!-ing joke. And you ass clowns have not made any legit improvement to this games orginal model since The Taken King.
-
High 40’s mainly. Nothing over 52. Just let us use the new mods on the armor we had

I didn’t take away the same points from OP’s post. What I felt he was trying to get across, is as follows... Doing general activities across the board can leave you without the armor set you want. Be it wrong affinities, low stat roll, etc. I obtained a set I was happy with last season. Now, that seasons armor doesn’t accept new mods? Basically, it may take an entire season to get an armor set your happy with, then to gather resources to MW it. Only then to have it rendered useless at the end of the season. Have a vendor that you can buy high stat gear from, and select the affinity. Then make MW materials more abundant, so a week into the season you already have your set.
-
This. Very well said. I agree.

Hi. Do you even read the forums. This is NOT new information.

Edited by Kevskii: 12/19/2019 11:16:23 AMHi DMG, Thank you for publicly showing a response on this matter. There are several posts on the topic of issue with armour 2.0. 1) the seasonal mod slot restricts gameplay with a particular armour piece to a single season, meaning curating your build and tailoring your armour to the way you play, a promise of what armour 2.0 would provide, is actually doing the opposite. Make the seasonal mod slot a general mod slot. 2) Masterworking armour is almost irrelevant and some would say that it cost too many base materials. This needs to change the feel of the armour radically, perhaps if when you masterwork you can choose the affinity and instead of 2 points to each stat, you can choose what stats to put the additional points into. 3) Ornaments, I can’t as you promised make my armour look how ever I want, what if I want scourge gear to look like iron truage gear... or tangle web to look like reverie. I was expecting you to be able to grab any armour from collections as an ornaments for your new gear not your preselected ornaments. 4) Stats, as with masterworking the roll on gear should just be the number of armour points, that you can CHOOSE to put into whatever stat you want, having to find the perfect stat roll artificially extends the loot grind. Make the changes. Wow your player base with the choice of gameplay like you promised.

Same functionality, just let us determine how we look

Ignore all these comments. Just keep patting yourselves on the back for a job well done on armour 2.0 and release some more shit for eververse. Award for community support? Like giving fritzel an award for child care.

Instead, you’re condescending and snide to the person. That about sums it up?
-
Specifics have been given many times and not been listen to at all
Specifics have been given many times and not been listen to at all
Mmmkay, valid observation. So I’m still curious as to how all that vitriol is going to help when they asked for specifics. Maybe it was a different person. Maybe the person from before got shit-canned because they didn’t communicate for those 4 months
-
4 months after 2.0 release and they walk around like people haven't been complaining since its release.
4 months after 2.0 release and they walk around like people haven't been complaining since its release.
And?

So they have had months of feedback. They dont need anymore. What hes asking is complete bullshit.they have been given the answers already
