When you say that you're getting "terrible armor" - does this mean you're getting low stat rolls, or elemental affinities that don't match the mods you wish to use?
If this is a stat roll issue, what are the values you're currently seeing, and from what sources?
Thanks!

The seasonal mod slot should cover all seasons. More armor should drop 60 plus total stats and exotics should not have affinity.
-
Bump.

Exotics being omni-affinity would be so dang nice... real annoying to have like Lucky Pants or something and it not be void. Just give exotics omni-affinity and omni-mod slots. Then we're good.

In my own experience, basically what I'm looking for is an 18 or higher in a specific stat on every armor piece. I think if we just had some way to manipulate the scales to improve my chances of an armor being weighted to a certain stat or pair of stats, that would fix everything. I know some people like their recovery/resilience builds or whatever. I'd feel less annoyed with finding an armor piece that's a 52 if like 18 of that was solely in intellect, but it's always evenly distributed between the one stat I do want and the five I couldn't care less about.

All of the above. 2.0 armor is god awful!!! The only decent thing about it is once you have a mod You have it forever or until Bungie changes that again.

They’re saying that their time investment hasn’t been respected. Elemental affinities, the cost to masterwork, and seasonal mod slots are driving people away. Making builds and experimenting = fun Grinding forever to make and perfect 1 build only to have it become obsolete each season = people don’t want to buy in to your system

The inability to chase specific stat rolls is the biggest problem. Since Destiny doesn't have a dedicated crafting system to fine-tune good armor drops into near-perfect ones, anything less than perfect is worthless. My recommendation is consumable items that fine-tune drops "4 hours - all armor drops with arc attunement" "4 hours - all armor drops with high discipline"
-
Pretty good idea, though I'd need more space in my consumables menu for that lol
-
Yup. But that's not a terrible price to pay.

Low stat rolls from raids, legend or higher nightfalls, pit of heresy (I think the highest stat roll I’ve ever got from the new dungeon was 64 fully masterworked. The seasonal armour always drops low from sources as well as the season track rewards so I’m not really bothered by that. But harder activities should yield better rewards/stats. The affinities are annoying too because I feel it restricts me on what to use unless I run 3 sets of the same armour. The new mods you have this season I can’t use on the garden raid armour, that slot needs to be a universal season slot so we aren’t restricted. Resilience, mobility, discipline etc needs the costs reduced because using those limits us on other useful mods. The previous armour imo was better then the 2.0 version in some aspects. I like slotting things like enhanced hand cannon loader (6 void affinity is a lot, if you run a resilience mod then you only get this one, no ammo finders or anything else so less mods then previous armour). I think it needs to be overhauled again and drastically improved. If I still had all of my previous armour I would not use 2.0 armour

Edited by Blaxsun: 12/18/2019 11:58:59 PMMost of us are less than thrilled to be grinding out another set of 2.0 armor - especially since the cost has gone through the roof and we can look forward to this another two times this season... Can you say burnout? All the armor 2.0 sets should have a universal 4th slot so we can use any mods from Menagerie, Undying, Dawn, etc.

Low 50 rolls from master nightmare hunts and raids.
-
One problem I’ve always had is that reward packages tend to have more weapons than armor. Very frustrating when you’re trying to complete a set.
-
Should have just kept the old armour system and added the universal ornament system to it.

I'm getting armor with the wrong elemental affinity. Especially when it ties in with the artifact. On top of that, my 1.0 has better stats than the 2.0.

Is that all you got from that post. Really.
