Basically; Saladin is a Iron lord, you are not.
The iron lords had all kinds of mixed gear and abilities.
We have a tiny ghost with no imagination. Your ghost revived you as a skeleton. Since you doesn't start the game butt-naked, I guess your ghost's taste in clothes is to blame for your wardrobe :)

I know I'm Saladins pride and I have the emblem to prove it :) Can't remember anything about titles from RoI, except being a young wolf' Iron lords was a group of guardians that decided to use their power to do good and fight the ones who used their powers for personal gain. If we were given the title of Iron lord, I guess it would be more like those who get a honorary title of doctor for contributing either with discovery/participation, or in most cases by "donating", as in buying a title ;) The actual Iron lords were a wierd bunch, with powers and armor that belonged to other classes than the one they seemed to be

Sad because the only Iron Lords alive are Us, Saladin and Efrideet.
