Rifts right now are perfectly fine with speed. Similar to a titan barrier, they aren't meant to be used while you are getting actively shot at.

Of course they are ment to be used like that just like hunter dodge you wouldnt stand there and be "actively" shot same as barrier you get shot you erect the barrier and stand behind it... from a warlock main since d1 beta.
