Bungie should re-add the starting armour...
Let me elaborate.
Ikora used to sell the repaired starting gear (Noble Constant and whatnot) but since Forsaken she has stopped selling said armour. Bungie got rid of the sets for no reason and now Ikora is only useful for bounties.
Bungie should re-add these armour sets, because now we can only use the destroyed variants for our guardians and let's be honest, they don't fit any other sets.

1 ReplyThey could just slap them to Heroic Story -missions as ornament rewards. That way those missions would have some sort of reward tied to them, and people could once again acquire those sets, in usable state.

Yeah I love those armour sets! Simple and clean. Warlock helmet was sick, and the hunters had those shiny greaves.

2 RepliesI'll reiterate what I said a few weeks ago. If an armour set is no longer available, it should be an ornament. (Factions, trials, revelry, S4 & S7 IB, both solstice sets, Vanguard research)

I kept starting armor for warlock however it is now upgraded to power 750 :-(

1 Replyyou know what they could do? they could add back those armor sets, allow y1 and y2 glows to be active on them and make the solstice armor from y1 and y2 ornaments. the solstice armor is just a reskin of those armor sets anyway. they could give ikora repeatable bounties like the moon set so they could be farmed. maybe do a thing were every so often they can roll with higher stats to make them more viable.

The three versions of the solstice armor should’ve been ornaments, plain and simple. Bungie was typically unclear when they talked about the transition to armor 2.0 and ornaments and a lot of people assumed these would be included as ornaments with the new system. It’s just frustrating because they aren’t being used anyway, why WOULDN’T Bungie regain some goodwill and add these in.

And these are no solstice armor sets nor their blue/green ornaments, because the hunters hood has a completely different pattern/texture which can't be seen in any of the current "Ikora amor sets" models. Not to mention they are mostly black in color. Amd since Bungie was showing them, it is an Armor 2.0 version. They haven't shown random roll only gear in their trailers. Always 2.0 armor. You can see them at 1:33. https://youtu.be/jFJ9dyF0YLU My bet is they are either new ornaments for the Year 3 Solstice armor sets (which would seem a bit odd showing them so soon) or they are actual new armor set to earn.

1 ReplyThey do. Every year since launch... that’s the year end festival armor. I mean, I can not say that for the last set because I did not collect it... but if remember correctly, it is, just with slight cosmetic changes.

I would love these armor sets back. I wasn’t able to get all the pieces for each set and was bummed I couldn’t finish them.

In one of the vidocs from Shadowkeep all three sets could be seen, slightly changed pattern/texture. And it wasn't the Solstice gear or its ornaments. But unfortunately they can't be earned right now nor are they in the game. Maybe some sort of event?
