Look, Bungie, I like that you guys are giving these weapons a much-needed PvE bump and we can all appreciate that.
But you didn't feel the need to help auto rifles in the Crucible. Ok, well if this is how you're reshuffling the meta then may I ask just ONE thing?
Give auto rifles the ability to flinch an opponent. Not a lot; just enough to at least give me hope that maybe I can 1v1 almost any opponent.
-
Bungo: we hear you, and so will be releasing several new handcannons.
-
Well if they stick to their current business model the next time auto rifles are going to be really useful is the beginning of Destiny 3
-
3 Repliesyou use an auto rifle...why would you think you can win a 1v1 against anybody? youre probably shit at the game
-
1 ReplyAre we even sure that they actually got a PvE buff? I was using my Ringing Nail for an Eric’s bounty and it actually felt worse than pre Shadowkeep.
-
Oof sunspot is so good now I don’t wanna take it off :( I need more splosions
-
I do agree rifles need a little bump in pvp. Getting tired of pulse, subs and fusions.

1 ReplyJust use a full auto pulse skrub

Ought to be Bungie’s motto:
”It’s NERF or nothing!”
Would it make you feel better if your rocket launcher shot pillows? Or better yet, bring back Vex Mythoclast? Someone needs a Snickers. (Disclaimer: sarcasm might be present in this post)
-
They were nerfed, not buffed overall

2 RepliesHalfdan D is pretty damn good tbh, especially if you get one with kill clip. I think they could use a buff to bodyshot damage though,
-
So i played alot of crucible yesterday and I was actuallu testing out some auto rifles. If you want to use an exotic auto rifle: suros regime is still one of your best options If you want to use a legendary auto: I found that scathelocke is still pretty decent in crucible, if you know how to manage its recoil. Note: these are both kinetic auto rifles, im not a big fan of energy energy auto rifles, but i do know that uriels gift, ringing nail, and a few other autos are still good.
-
Edited by Dabosaurous: 9/30/2019 4:08:32 PMGo for a drop mag zen moment multi kill clip or rampage gnawing hunger bro. Besides suros, I had abandoned autos in crucible. Til that roll.
-
Can’t say I’ve really given auto rifles a chance since D1 era Athenons epilogue and shadow price I think it was called loved them in vanilla D1. Let’s hope they put autos in a good place with Shadowkeep and scouts on that matter they seem really bad atm
-
I’m not a PvP gawd or anything but you can get kills with ARs pretty easily. Just have to control the engagement range and sightlines and pick a decent AR. Pretty much like any other weapon.
-
The introduction of SMG, have made auto's and sidearms pretty much obsolete in crucible. Not saying that they're aren't any good SA or AR. It's just the SMG perform better in the same area that they operate in. Go further out and you're now in pulse rifle optimal range. HC are strong in almost all close to middle range.
-
Ghalran's Right Hand, Halfdan D, and Suros are all pretty good in the current meta; however, it is true that most auto rifles are far below these. Some new balance changes are coming in Shadowkeep that will affect PvE but they should remain in their current placement in PvP. Hopefully, range nerfs to hand cannons will create a good medium range for autos to shine in.

I was shooting my Positive Outlook the other day and it felt pretty solid. Felt like the unnerfed days, but maybe because I was on IO.
-
1 ReplyI mean the sweet business is getting a buff ;)
-
Suros cleans house dude

throw a titan grenade first then shoot then along the same path. toast them.
