Hasn’t been any talk about the Scorn...

What are they doing these days? Aimlessly killing, numbers dwindling?

  • This is Destiny. Things happen then get ignored. How about Osiris? Or Ana Bray? What's going on with Uldren? Where's the Queen now? What are the scorn up to? All questions that will likely never be answered.

    • Bungie has no clue what to do with the storyline. It’s so choppy and they have created so many different paths of the story, it’s hard to tie loose ends. Proof that smoking weed destroys brain cells

      • Where does it say Uldren is Alive? Where can I find that lore in game? Because just by playing them game it leads you to believe he was shot dead. Either by you or Petra. It did happen off camera but all npcs talk about how we did the deed. So what happened and where can I find that lore in game?

            • The “narrative team” happened. They don’t have time to tie up loose threads like the Scorn, they’ve got to move on to the next DLC. And since you mention it, I’m forcing myself to complete the Forsaken campaign a second time with my Warlock and it’s just... it’s some especially bad writing. The idea that our Guardian is all of a sudden complicit in thoughtless mass murder and should think twice about it is laughable. I get that the narrative designers want to have a deep thought every now and then but come on guys... we’re killing machines. Always have been. If you want us to be sympathetic towards the “enemy of the week”, at least don’t make them comically villainous to start with. God the writing is such a joke in this game.

              • Was just thinking on this. Baseline we have: Fallen Hive Cabal Vex Then: Taken - Stolen units, can be a combination of the four above Splicers - Tech Fallen...this could expand into some mutated new "race". Maybe try to mesh with the Vex since...technology obsessed reasons. Red Legion - Specific group of Cabal Ice Hive - Hive frozen under Mars. Lol Scorn - Undead Fallen -‐---------- I feel the Vex or Cabal need some variation given this time around. With Cabal, more specifically that Psion race that was enslaved. I'd like to see them come out and take vengeance on us for killing them during their enslavement. With Vex? Well I'm not sure how that can be varied... I mean the whole "enemy race" story could go who knows where.

                • Currently the scorn are in a bit of a hard place right now. The majority of their army is stuck in the dreaming city's loop unable to die without being revived two weeks later. As for the rest of their army they're currently residing within the tangled shore unable to move on for one big reason, their leader Fikrul is hell bent on killing us and refuses to do anything else until "Uldren" is avenged. So as of right now the scorn are trapped in purgatory much like the dreaming city, unable to move on

                • They aren't dwindling actually. Every fallen that dies can become a scorn, and every scorn that dies can be resurrected. The ones that lose their heads in battle are brought back as the headless varieties, but the rest are normal. As long as Fikrul survives and fallen die, then Scorn will never die off

Hanging out with Osiris? Or maybe the Exo Stranger?
“We have a bunch of characters who are interesting, but the [insert character/characters] is one that always makes me chuckle a little bit. Because I feel that’s one character where we actually wrapped up the arc. They [insert something associated with the aforementioned character/characters] and then dissolved, presumably off to do something else. So I feel like, of all our characters we’ve introduced and exited, we actually exited them effectively.”
🤣

After the death of the Scorned Barons and Uldren, they began to retire from the Tangled Shore now again under the major influence of the Spider. They moved to the Dreaming City, maybe hoping to find a safe place, but they were unfortunate: they only find the City full of Taken, Hives and Guardians. Guardians started to take them down hired by Petra with her bounties. Many other Scorns were killed by the Taken as we can see in the Mission "The Oracle Engine" which is the weekly Mission during the second week of the three weeks Curse Cycle in the Dreaming City. Many of them are probably blocked inside the loop-curse too. Also the Hive started to fight against them as we could see in the Broodhold Strike. The only problem with the Scorns seems to be their boss: Fikrul, the Fanatic. After the death of Uldren he came back in life thanks the Dark Ether. The Vangaurd organized a Strike to kill him again which is the Hollowed Lair Strike. Unfortunately, Fikrul came back in life AGAIN for the same reason and right now it seems that there is no way to eliminate him definitevely. That's why many Strikes are organized to kill him everytime as reported in the lore of the Stolen Intelligence. The Praxis order is working to find a way to kill him once for all. Also Elykris, the Machinist was brought back in life by Fikrul as the "Reanimated Machinist" but she was killed again by the Guardians. Right now, it seems that we are keeping them at bay and their number continues to decrease.

                      • Stolen Intelligence- Outliers:
VIP #4503, a recent personality known as Fikrul, or the Fanatic. A close confederate of the murderer Uldren Sov, #4503 has the apparent ability to raise himself from the dead in a manner not dissimilar to Ghost-aided resurrection. Though his reign on the Tangled Shore was limited, he possesses sufficient skill, hatred, and motive to warrant on-going surveillance. Given #4503's propensity for resurrection, the inherent risk of #4503 reclaiming the body of the murderer Uldren Sov from his final resting place in the Dreaming City goes without saying. The Vanguard continues to deploy fireteams to suppress #4503; our agents have reached out to the Cryptarchy and the Gensym Scribes to request guidance as to his permanent destruction.
That’s all we’ve seen since Forsaken. They’ve been pushed into Quitter’s Well, but groups of them still maraud around the Shore and the Dreaming City.
