So, I've been having this issue for a couple days now
It's why I've missed iron banner completely, and never finished those first black armory quests i still have yet to get to
When i go to the lower tower, where the armory is, and where the drifter dwells, everything is fine. Same load time, loads in, no issues.
But when i try to enter the upper tower, where All the main vendors sit, i get the same issue that prevents me from doing anything.
First, it began small, and once i had last loaded into the area, it disconnected me from online but didn't boot me from the tower. All the vendor icons became solid green diamonds at that point. When i tried to access a vendor, it wouldn't open the screen for them. If i tried to open my character screen, nothing would load. If i tried to open my map screen, the game would hang up trying to load that one screen and the whole app would finally stop working.
I can't enter the tower anymore. It just hangs up on the loading screen. I can't get my reward items anymore.
Every time i enter the upper tower, i have to first force-kill my application through task manager, elsewise it will never close. I have entered the upper tower from the lower tower, but it resulted in the same output. My game would hang up on a load screen, and i would have to force kill my application.
This is killer on my pc. Usuaully, this doesn't cause a memory dump to take place which freeze a whole desktop (16 gigs ram, 6 core processor, amd r9-380 graphics card, gigabyte motherboard) where it sits on whatever screen you saw last. It takes a total of 5-10 minutes of JUST waiting for the programs to respond as i force kill the app, because once the application fails in whichever way it does, it immediatelly demands all my pc's resources to continue running.
I'm not ok with this, I am effectively barred from the most frequented place in the game, and it's a damn chore to try and simply kill the program.

7 RepliesHey there. Appreciate your report about this issue happening to you. Other than killing the program, have you tried any other troubleshooting steps? You may want to perform a scan and repair in the Battle.net app to see if that may help with your issue. If that doesn't work, delete the following local cache/settings directories found in Windows Explorer:
%APPDATA%\Bungie\DestinyPC *WARNING* Deleting these will cause you to lose persisted settings, such as logged in users, keybinds and graphics settings in Destiny 2.
