A game that is barely 1 1/2 years old. And for which I’ve paid more than $100, all told. It makes me so angry that I don’t even know what to say. Except for the fact that I will absolutely not be preordering D3, and may not even buy it at launch. [b][u]EDIT[/u][/b]: Road maps are just that — maps. As Anthem has proven, maps are easily altered, not followed or outright abandoned. Roadmaps aren’t content. New DLC model isn’t working. Content is gated, events are [b][i]really[/i][/b] lackluster, and Crucible has gotten zero new maps in eight months. Where is all the loot? Why does Eververse get bigger loot updates than the Vanguard, Crucible and Planetary vendors combined? Where is all the now mostly useless year one stuff? Where is Trials? Factions? Where’s the Sunshot, Graviton and Sweet Business catalysts? New strikes or nightfalls? Why do substantial sandbox updates happen only 2-3 times a year, when many other games — both PvE and PvP — manage an update every month, or even more? [b][u]EDIT 2[/u][/b]: Just to be clear, I love this game. I’m still having fun playing it (about 90 percent PvP). I am deeply critical because I want it to be as good as it can be, and I don’t think it’s anywhere close to that.
