I imagine this will get a mixed reception, but I have to say it.
Nerfing Luna's Howl and Not Forgotten is a bad idea.
In fact, I think it is a terribly misguided thing.
Who complains about the gun? People who don't have it.
Why do they complain? Because it is strong.
Why is it strong? BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO PUT IN THE WORK TO USE IT.
Okay, so I'm quite disappointed with this change.
Here's what I'm seeing: Bungie is gutting the value of these weapons, despite the hours of effort that is required to earn them. On PC, where I play, they ARE NOT win buttons. On console, it might be a different story, but now I am being punished because other people are mad about the guns.
People need to understand that just because it's good, it does not make them cheap guns.
I know MANY people who are terrible with the guns. Case and point: any loser who pays to have them earned. If that statement angers you, then you probably paid for them and you are a loser.
I get that they are strong, but not without effort. Generally, people are good with them because you have to play competitively with handcannons in order to unlock them.
This does not bode well for high effort gear. It shows a lack of respect for the effort involved.
I have Luna's Howl, but now I feel even worse for people with Not Forgotten. Now you get a glorified 150 that can probably be out rolled. Ace of Spades is going to become an even bigger problem because now it will be even harder to outgun it because you are losing even more ttk. Last Word will become a bigger problem as well. Your argument may be "But they're exotics, Freak." and you know what? I don't care. They are far easier to obtain. I had to grind my ass off to get the gun I have, and now it's going to underperform because some people complain too loudly.
Spec blades? Nerfed. Good.
OEM? Nerfed... Kinda.
Some nerfs are good. Some are bad. I'm getting some D1 HC nerf vibes and I don't like it.
Please Bungie, don't do this. It's a BAD idea.

3 RepliesThey still will have the recoil animation of a 180. The mag howl was a lil too strong on console. Just my opinion. And no I don’t have them.

3 RepliesIt’s just an RPM nerf. It seems like a good compromise since 180s are already powerful without a significant damage buff.

100% agree. If bungie is going to go through with the nerf then do it on console only. Aim assist makes the guns too strong so just nerf it where aim assist is a thing.
