RISE UP. We cannot let bungie turn into an ea

1 ReplyYea I’m not very happy about them removing that...

1 ReplyI don't normally post on these forums, but I'm gonna upvote. My take on it kind of strays two ways. The pro side: I see how getting rid of it, is just a means of them making some extra side cash. Granted, yes, we already have a game that comes as a base game + if you want expansions, you gotta fork out for those. And also if you want extra content, you need a season pass so that's a means of making more money. Which I'm sure here recently with the upcoming trailer/news of Drifter has sparked a good amount of people buying the season pass (it was also on sale on PSN). So them wanting to get rid of it, and make it to where things are gonna be behind some pay thing..okay whatever, it's a money market..and truly, they still gotta bring some money in from somewhere. The con side: I don't see how changing something that was already a good idea for the game, is gonna improve the moral of the community. Since it was something that couldn't be exploited to get exclusive stuff, then there was never a reason to get rid of it. I feel if they wanted to do what they're planning on doing, offer up that you still get to a Prismatic Matrix once a week. But, throw it into a loot pool where you only like let's 1/8 chance to get an exclusive item that can only be fount in those limited boxes. And still have the limited/exclusive boxes up for purchase. But, hey, that's just me. Am I a little annoyed by it? Sure. But, it's not gonna stop me from playing a game.

1 ReplyOmg I wasn’t expecting this many people to support this post, I’m so proud of this community let’s not let bungie revert to their money grubbing form
-
1 ReplyKeep prismatic matrix!
-
1 ReplyLet’s make this the most upvoted post on these forums.
-
Yes but streamline it. I shouldn’t have to go to another screen and hold a button down to get it.

4 RepliesEdited by Ravatex: 3/3/2019 12:46:34 AMNone of these ever actually do anything sadly. If it does it takes a month or until next season. :(

3 RepliesI am split on this. Since bright engrams are pretty much just slot machines, I am happy to have another option to buy what I want directly. I am pretty sure people prefer to buy what they want instead of gambling. And of course, lootbox are not well viewed in my opinion. To be fair, destiny is not that bad since you can earn a good amount through playing. On the other hand, the prismatic facets were earned through gameplay, so it wasn’t too bad. I think having both would have been the ideal solution, but I understand that bungie can use the money.

I honestly would rather have enhancement cores not used for infusion, and used to only masterwork said gear or weapons instead, but that’s just me I guess 🤷🏾♂️.

2 RepliesIf anyone is still playing this game and is unhappy with this change ,maybe it’s time to say screw you Bungie and stop playing , the fact is this is a full price game with a paid yearly DLC. Locking the best looking gear behind some sort of paywall shouldn’t be happening, this is just the start watch it get worse , it just a cash grab. even better just wait until the tower blows up again and you lose all the stuff they sold you, just to resell back at a later date . I really can’t believe some people even trying to defend this crap ,

5 RepliesYou know how to kill a game? No longer make it financially viable... GG gaurdian down. Bye bye destiny Stop crying we've spent 5x the amount of destiny than other games we would be playing because we enjoy it. They try to explore different ways and the forums go insane. If you played 800 hours. You would be lucky to find 5 games to put that time into. That is 5 x 60 = 250 (not including tax)

28 RepliesI can't even believe the people defending this as a good change. You paid for a game. You paid for an xpack (or three), hell some even for a season pass. There should be no eververse, it should all be part of the game you already paid for. Microtransactions are a lazy attempt to squeeze more money from you. Bungie needs more money? Make a quality game people want to buy. Stop. Just stop defending this behaviour.
-
As I remember people hated it when it came out saying bungie forcing people to gamble.
-
You think they aren't already lost?

Almost 900 in just a few days. Even with all the ridiculous haters downvoting because that’s how reddit taught them to handle opinions they don’t agree with but that down effect them. Good post👍🏻

12 RepliesEdited by Elyse Dangerous: 3/1/2019 8:38:50 PMBuT dIrEcT pUrChAsE iS bEtTeR tHaN rNg Not for my wallet, I've already put 70 -blam!-ing dollars in this game just for this year. Taking out something that was free and replacing it with something that I have to pay even more for is no where near better. BuT iT's JuSt CoSmEtIc Yeah those instant summon sparrows and ghost shells that are super handy in the raid are just cosmetic Yeah the ghost shells that give you more XP and Public Event rewards are super cosmetic too, not all all useful in the actual game, no-way. Awful -blam!-ing change Bungie wants to make. EDIT: BuT yOu CaN gEt SiMiLaR iTeMs As DrOpS Just because you can get similar items through drops doesn't make it "cosmetic only". If you can pay to get specific items that do have benefits in the game, even if that benefit is small, that's pay to win. Removing Prismatic Matrix literally only helps enforce that system.

3 RepliesEdited by Poop: 3/2/2019 9:52:27 AMNo! Remove prismatic matrix.. I am rich but suck at this game, this is the only way I can flex on you. Also, bungie please add a Salty diaper titan mark in the loot pool so I can shine my salty gluteus while doing the million dollar teabag Thanks
-
I keep mine in my inventory. It's safe.
-
26 RepliesWe pay full price for the base game. We pay full price for each expac. We pay full price for the season pass. But is that good enough? NO! Let's just milk the ever shrinking playerbase for all they are worth! Pathetic.
-
6 RepliesGet a soapbox and start to rise up for a real agenda.. global warming, woman’s rights, exploiting, doctors making smack addicts, education, cost of living anything but a damn video game. Please, we need this passion for real change.
-
3 RepliesTo everyone saying “oh wel they’re a company, they have to make money somehow”: Microtransactions are a relatively new practice in video games. Companies were making their money decades before mobile gaming brought this bullshit upon us. There’s a difference between “making the money we need to make new content”, and “make every single penny we can squeeze out of the player base”. Microtransactions are extremely profitable for the companies, but only hurt the gamers. It’s greed, pure and simple. Stop deluding yourselves.

They could’ve easily kept the prismatic facet while still added the options to pick and buy as well. In case you don’t get what you wanted from the prismatic.

Signed.
