I get your frustration but why don't you make your own group and figure it all out together? I see post like this and think you just want carried.

Well I used to raid a lot in D1, but since D2 came out my former fireteam were so burnt out about D1, that they didnt bought D2. So at this point I havent completed any of the D2 raids which is really bad considering that the raids are one of the best activities in the game. ITs really lame that Bungie doesnt provide matchmaking for this and nightfalls. I get some of the rationale, but this is also barring people from the best content of the game.

Get yourself a g-horn and you’ll be good to raid with any group. On a serious note it’s a real struggle, get a clan or just screen your groups closely and be open from the start. If you sense there may be problems later on, don’t waste your time with them

Most guys I’ve played with were pretty cool about me learning. Just have to look for LFG groups that say they’re teaching a new guy. I’m going to be teaching a friend tonight around 8-9 PST. If you’re interested and want to join, just shoot me a PM!

Then the clan you are in sucks ass, especially if they wont help you.

How are you this lucky? I just have really bad luck with this kind of thing then.[/quote] Okay.... I am going to give EVERYBODY a rude wake up call. This is raiding LFG in a nutshell in EVERY game. This isn't a Destiny problem this is just what happens when it comes to raiding. Put it off too long and you can't really find a group. This is why you form a static. LFG try to find a sherpa but complaining about people being "elitist" just because they want to do a quick raid run is a bit... ridiculous from your side. For me I have to wait almost an hour in some game to find a group if I am trying to clear a raid late. That's my problem so I sit and try to find people. You gotta deal with it... in the end its not their responsibility for you not clearing the raid. Its yours.

I don't know how you have so much trouble finding decent groups. I am a clan leader and I do raid help for members (not as much anymore, a lot of them are getting raid savy and don't need so much help now) but anytime somebody wants to do the raid, I will help them, even outside the clan. We even ran into trouble getting people to join. If you ever need a hand I won't turn you down.

It's on you to Know what to do and be a competent player. Explain your situation that you haven't done the raid before however you have taken the initiative to Know what the to do in the raid encounters. Most people who are not trash will be fine with it and help. Only thing that can be said is don't join groups that are looking for a quick run. Heck I basically sharped a team through Kalia because they had incompetent players who didn't know what to do and didn't follow directions. Myself if you wount listen I'll kick your ass. It's been like that since D1 and it's never gonna change. I use to love raiding in D1. But I have compmetely lost all interest in raiding. Only raid I've done in D2 in Leviathan normal mode and that's it. They are just not fun anymore. Only reason people raid now is for 1k voices or for achievements.

It's really too bad guided games is such a failure. Such a good idea but it never took off. It worked for a night fall one time, but I've never even heard of it working for a raid.

There are plenty of people out there that would take you through. My best advice is to look up some of the larger raiding clans. Join one and I'm sure they'd be more than happy to run you through, or be more persistent with the lfg groups. This app isnt that great for finding a group as you cant post alot of info about your scenario. More often then not people dont have alot of time and are looking for fast clears and that will never change. People that whine about it like this are equally as toxic cause you dont consider the extra time your going to cause a team. Be understanding that not everyone wants to teach or even are good teachers. Your the one that got into the content late, you are the burden. That being said I sherpa alot of new raiders and have ever since d1. I'm willing to teach pretty much anyone but there are times when I need quick clears as well and prefer experienced players. although i have no issue playing with nubs, just because others do doesn't necessarily make them an elitist wiener. i understand some people want to get things done quickly, due to whatever reason, and that's fine. you can go ahead and tell me to shove it, but yes, making your own post and explaining your situation is the best thing you can do here. lots of people are willing to play with and help out nubs. best of luck!
