Sleeper
It would literally be better to completely delete every trace of sleeper simulant from the game entirely than to allow it to continue in its current state in gambit
That sounds very drastic but it is actually where we are

2 RepliesI actually agree that sleeper sucks, I don't think that it should be deleted from the game, but it definately needs a nerf, Gambit used to be this really fun game mode where i'd go in with random people and have a great time racing against the other team. However now, if you don't run sleeper and if you don't have a full fireteam at your disposal, you are going to lose, every match. It's not fun anymore and it's extremely irritating. I think that they should make the precision on that gun a little less forgiving and make it difficult to aim from across the map. Gambit maps are extremely open areas with very little cover. This makes sleeper work extremely well here, it shluld be difficult to use sleeper long range and that might fix things a little.

2 RepliesAs I'm sure you've noticed, you are talking about removing what has effectively become the Gjallarhorn of D2. It doesn't matter what activity you are doing, Sleeper is the hands-down choice for your heavy slot. Raid, strikes, Gambit, Haunted Forest, whatever. If you are not running Sleeper, you are not pumping out enough DPS. Hence, people will get very upset about the idea of having this taken away from them. But remember, Bungie nerfed Gjallarhorn in D1 for the same reasons. Sleeper will get reined in soon enough, too.

I use sleeper on all the bosses I can think of and it's really effective, but I should lose that tool because you can't find cover in one single game type or figure out that the best counter to sleeper is sleeper ?

1 ReplyNo we are not. It is where you are. Sleeper is fine, there are plenty of counter's and other weapons that can kill you. Should we delete those too? And the someone complains that the rocks do too much damage and require no skill so the we can just hold running matches in crucible.

I've had a go with other heavies, but the truth is, I'm not finding anything as effective for damaging the entourage and boss as effectively. Also, I have moved to invading with water balloons. You know what? Players enjoy standing in the middle of the map and get a good soaking. Sometimes it's as if they see/hear they are being invaded and they just have to move out in the open to make it easier for me. By the way, replace "water balloons" with sleeper 😂

2 RepliesOnce again, talking a weapon because of a “PVP” related issue. So never mind that it’s used for bosses and has been since D1. But because of a game mode, it’s should be nerfed or removed completely. Here’s an idea, remove Gambit. Problem solved. If gambit is removed as a game mode (which obviously it won’t be) then there won’t be one single person talking about Sleeper at ALL.

I disagree, There are several guns that can outgun the sleeper. If you nerf or remove the sleeper then people will just use the next powerful gun, then people will complain about that and get that nerfed, so they move onto the next gun and get that nerfed too. People like to complain and I think any more posts about nerfing guns should just go straight into the bin. Lets nerf posts about nerfing guns.
