10 RepliesI recently (like 5 days ago) got D2 for pc (played a lil in the past on console) & honestly most of the time crucible just feels one sided, so I honestly will just get a kill or 2 then just go afk & wait for the game to end (for the daily & weekly)(too many people almost insta killing everyone to the point it just got boring)

2 RepliesIncorrect assertion. Crucible has never been fun, and forcing people interested in lore and pve into the mode, just so pvpers can get their jollies off is only going to build hostility.

2 RepliesAs dedicated PVE player I even liked crucible in Destiny 1 to the some point. Current state of crucible is horrible for me. Even worse than team shot times.

1 ReplyIt’s all about getting a group together and farming the shit out of solo players. That’s literally all crucible is right now. High skill comp players take their Luna’s howl into quick play and shit on everyone because the matchmaking is straight trash

Destiny pvp has always been riddled with issues that are rarely observed in other games - or at least to this degree. It’s especially noticeable and has a far more negative impact on stats and overall experience for solo players. Mismatched connections, skill level, team composition, imbalance, lag switchers, and fishy occurrences that appear to possibly be the work of some sort of algorithm have always been discouraging. For me, the connections take the cake though. At the moment, however, balance isn’t bad at all from what I’ve seen. Used to give Destiny pvp another shot every now and then but inevitably came to the conclusion that other games were far better for legit and enjoyable pvp. Pretty obvious nothing will ever be fixed and is the way it is, so I’ve gotten to where I just don’t have the desire to try. Been ignoring or dismantling pvp bounties and quests that require pvp. Just doesn’t feel worth it to do them, but to each, his/her own.

Also, it has the least variety of any PVP I've played. There are no "roles", and a very limited amount of "competitive" weapons and armor. Would be a lot more fun if attributes were more than the difference between 2 shot kill and 3 shot kill.

1 ReplyThere should be a game mode reserved for casual solo players that really dislike the way Crucible currently is. A group of similar skilled players that don’t care if they win or lose, 1 life each last one standing, over and done with in a minute or two. Could also accelerate super regen to 40 seconds to spice it up at the end.

Competitive is bad. Quick play has been the best so far. More variety. I take what we have today over the slow ttk nutholding team meta crap that was year 1.

But crucible is fun. This is literally the first time since D2 launched that I've genuinely enjoyed playing crucible. The only times I get frustrated with it is when the game decides I'm doing too well and it wants to only put me up against stacked teams. "Oh what's that? You're on a five win-streak playing solo? Wah-bam! 6-stack bitch". 😭
