Hunter Reworks

There are a few things as a hunter that I can’t stand and I really feel like should be reworked. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD READ THE POST BEFORE CALLING ME A WHINY BITCH Nightstalker: I don’t know how many times we’re gonna have to ask for tether to activate faster. And don’t gimme that “oh just fire it before they get there” because 95% of the time they run past it no matter how early you shoot it. I just doesn’t activate fast enough. Can someone tell me why the hell they nerfed invis? I mean you can already be spotted and killed from across the map while you’re supposed to be invisible, can we at least break aim assist so that we can pretend this is useful for anything other than going off radar? Give way of the wraith a different melee, I get that smokes are kind of the nightstalker’s thing, but the one for way of the wraith is so terrible. Even if an enemy stands in it for the whole duration it amounts to less damage than a normal melee hit. And I don’t think I really have to talk about the super for this tree. Way of the current: My biggest issue is the super. It’s not the most inventive, which is fine but why does deflecting use up so much energy? If that’s the whole point of the super, why would you make it drain so fast? And maybe buff duration of the increased damage after a deflect for PvE. My only other problem is the melee. I think it would actually be really good with a few changes. Just buff the damage (not OHK but maybe 150ish damage in PvP?) and make it so that if I auto aim to a target with my melee, the wave that gets sent out should still go in the direction I originally aimed in. Way of the outlaw: Just rework chains of woe to be a little better. This is the subclass that is supposed to have the best neutral game but it’s by far one of the worst. Maybe add on getting a huge handling buff along with the increased reload speed. General: Please make dodge break aim assist. Please Alright, now you can call me a whiny bitch.

  • yup ur right. they broke aspects of the hunter and buffed aspects of the other classes in the name of balance. it's a lazy fix. they need to create abilities for the hunter that make feel complete currently it feels like we are fighting at a disadvantage no matter what the scoreboard says.

        • One Hit KO throwing knives on the head (it has a recharge time and need skill). Titans have One Hit KO without skill requirement and an exotic that gives infinite uses.

        • I really want to use the new Nightsalker Subclass but it is so bad that its unbearable they grenade needs to be like the envenomed grenade in d1 the super needs better hit registration and more lunge andTether needs to kill on impact so quiver is actually viable (not to supers) PS. I see alot of post saying void warp needs to be nerfed I Disagree I believe they just need to buff some of the other subclasses (My only problem with it is 1 hit grenade but other then that the super can easily be teamshotted.)

            I agree with the Arc super taking way too much energy to block, considering this does not happen to Sentinel and they're literally the same thing. I also agree with the void melee on the new tree. It's unoriginal and I only ever use it as a smoke, exactly like it is for trapper. The problem is, if they buffed the damage, it suddenly turns into another grenade. So yeah, it should be something completely different. It'd be cool if it was an actual melee, considering Nightstalker doesn't have one. Maybe something like a blink strike? When activated, it lunges you forward in an invisible dash? So, think blink, but not activated by jumping. It's just you're melee ability. Heck, you could have it activate with momentum, exactly like a titan charge. Doesn't have to be a one shot because the recovery can be much faster so you can finish off with another melee, or you can make it so the range is a lot further since it wouldn't be one shot. Allows hunters to close the gap in an invisible lunge.

              Take tracking off nova bomb , increase the speed, and bring back shatter , annihilate,+ bloom. Put increase melee speed, devour, and throw distance back onto ophidian aspects.

              • Tether needs a buff for activation as does nova bomb for warlock, throwing knives should hit for more damage, only the gamblers dodge should break aim assist. other then that they’re in a good spot. reason why the new arcstrider shouldn’t get a block buff is because arcstrider has that dam dodge and really good range

              • Only parts i agree with. Thowing knife buff and spectral blade fixes. Invis needed the nerf it got . Hunters are fine for the most part tough, just need to play them right.

                • It be nice but if hunters got even 1 thing from that I'm sure Titan and Warlock mains would cry nurf. Its funny how the most used classes is the most hated, even though the other classes have some op shit them self's and if Hunter say something of there's needs a Nerf. They will jump all over you pointing out how something the hunter had was op even though it definitely got a Nerf. And I really love it when someone how doesn't play with all 3 is the one crying nerf.

                    • I think Way of the Wraith’s melee ability is fine, but I think it needs to be able to apply the Sundered Armor debuff if you use it while Flawless Execution is up. Would go a long way in terms of power and consistency

                      • spectral blade is the most shitty class ever seen in my life in a MMO. the super is kinda of a normal melee just colored, normal gameplay is useless at 98% of the time, solar and arc are just OK class, nothing more: hunter is the worst class to play atm

                        Hmm.... No you just suck at Hunter. Tether just got buffed to activate even faster. What want it to go off as soon as it leaves the bow ? Way of the current it Arc Staff plus Sentinel Shield that actually works. Seriously Hunters need no buffs stop crying for them.

                          • If they just fix hit detection for spectral blades I’d be sooooo happy. That being said, I wouldn’t mind a buff to the sprint speed or dmg increase. The super gets #wrekt against any other super.

                            • No on the dodge aim assist break. Yes on the invisi aim assist break, but not up close. E.g. I should go invis and then walk across a doorway and have the enemy know I’m their cus their cursor dragged, but if I’m invis and up in your face then have the aim assist.
