Edited by Prime Kessler: 2/26/2020 5:58:36 AMhe's already doing it, from the [Light] (through the [Taveler]) and even 'us' Guardians. Though not much a 'weapons free!'-type of 'threat' 'we' and the [Traveler] are, compared that to the other Blood-thirsty threats that all around 'us', Humanity, AND RASPUTIN himself in Sol. Whether he likes it or not, he still does needs 'our' nature to Combat the higher enemies that his WARSATS and other Golden Age ordinances that he's kept couldn't blast away Permanently. (And we'll be soon getting more answers next just from seeing Osiris' and RASPUTIN's confrontation towards/against each other during that cinematic cutscene)....

He did, when the Traveler tried to leave when the darkness came. he nuked it. a lot. he basically told a dog to stay, and the traveler went to sleep.
that's the abridged version
3 RepliesFor all the talk about how awesome Warminds are, all we've ever seen them do is crash satellites into the ground or conjure up spears that can only be used by someone else with arms. In the years that we've been aware of Rasputin, it's become clear that it's a pathetically weak AI that can't defend itself, and requires constant help from us every time a few thrall or dregs manage to bumble their way into the bunker. What's Raspy gonna do? Ask us politely to take out traveler for it because it can't actually do anything on its own?
-
2 RepliesWhat’s he gonna do if that happens, through an electrified spear at it?
-
9 RepliesEdited by Zelrons: 7/28/2018 10:39:19 PMThen the Traveler would kill his ass.
-
Then Rasputin would be in a job, no light for us to fend if the darkness so then Rasputin would have to give us some kind AI life form, also maybe we would be able to stay dead then, maybe a skynet twist plot coming....,,. Lol
-
Then he would die. Space magic is a auto win.
-
1 ReplyDude you just wreaked the next story line thanks!
-
I think it's in the lore that Rasputin saw the Traveler's attempt at leaving Earth to be a threat to Humans so shot it down to keep it here.
-
7 RepliesEdited by SkinPoppeR: 7/28/2018 7:10:14 PMIf that happens The Traveler will commission me a exotic Auto Rifle called Tsar Killer. And I shall name it Lenin and end Rasputin like the obedient dog he is. In truth I believe an Ahamkara is living inside the Traveler. The structure is merely a defense to protect it from us and mainly its ancient enemies the parasitic Worm Gods. So, Yeah Rasputin much like everyone else would probably try to kill it and mount it to a wall. Ahamkara brings Light and Gifts The Eldritch bring Darkness and Death Oryx simply borrowed the Darkness from The Eldritch.... The Osmium Kingdom wasn’t the first fooled by lies told by those maggots. They won’t be the last tricked into Darkness.

1 ReplyThen weapons free light em up

Edited by Milk: 7/28/2018 6:17:56 PMDidn't this actually happen btw?

1 ReplyRasputin to The Traveler: "I must break you"
-
The d1 lore suggests he may have seen the traveller leaving as a threat, and may have been responsible for damaging it in the first place to keep it here on earth
-
1 ReplyThen we get Destiny 3
-
1 ReplyRasputin: Pew pew pew
-
Well then -blam!- us lol
-
Edited by Xienthius: 7/27/2018 2:11:23 PMHe didn't in the first place. I think The Traveler tried to leave, which is why Rasputin attacked it, to keep it on Earth and to protect Humanity. I think as long as the Traveler stays on earth, Rasputin will leave it alone.
-
22 RepliesRasputin wants to help Humanity. The Traveler helps Humanity. He shot it down to keep it here so that it could keep helping Humanity. That’s why we see it all destroyed in D1 and D2 up until it woke up. I fear it’ll do the same thing again.
-
He already does kinda
-
1 ReplyRasputin already had BTFO of the traveler once back during the collapse
-
I doubt he would as the Traveler supplies the guardians one of the few lines of defense left with the power to fight the protect humanity which, judging by his dialogue in warmind is still his primary goal. That being said the Traveler would probably either defend itself or we would be given a questioner to stop the warmind somehow.
-
Then grab some popcorn and stand very clear if the city.
-
1 ReplyThen we dismantle the scrap heap and instate one of his remaining Subminds as acting Warmind
-
10 RepliesRasputin was designed to protect humanity. At the end of Warmind he says that he will protect humanity on his own terms. The Traveler is not an immediate threat, but if it becomes one, Rasputin will attack it. However, it might realize that the Traveler is the reason that humanity is in the position that it is. If that happens, there’s a good chance that Rasputin will attack the Traveler anyway, destroying it or at least forcing it to flee. Or, the Traveler will fight back. In which case we get to have the playground “who would win a fight” argument of if Rasputin or the Traveler would win.
It’ll probably be the Traveler.
I'm digging the answers and theory's. Keep em coming.
