SIGN UPS FOR A PROFITABLE ENDEAVOUR (NOW CLOSED)

[i]Hello there. First off, congratulations are in order. Thanks to your unique talents, you have been invited to participate in a very profitable endeavour. If you survive and the job is completed, you'll leave with enough money to retire. If you die, well, I can't pay you then. If you accept this offer, be on the roof of the Tremtek Theatre on planet Karthriss in two standard days. Enclosed is enough money to get to the planet and enter the theatre by the deadline.[/i] Nine people received this invitation. These nine were selected because of their skills in the fields of combat, infiltration, and other areas of expertise. The job they are offered will be dangerous, with hazards and foes everywhere. If these nine want to survive and complete the mission, they will have to use their gear and abilities to their fullest potential. Rules: There are nine character classes. Each user is only allowed one class, and it's first come, first served. Each class has unique gear, traits, and a special ability. Gear encompasses weapons, armor, and gadgets. Weapons and armor are self explanatory, while gadgets are items that are useful in certain circumstances. Traits are passive bonuses, and special abilities are powerful, but must be triggered manually. You can choose your character's gender, personality, and appearance. Classes: Mercenary: Jack of all trades, lacking in none. Weapons: a Multipurpose Battle Rifle, a blaster pistol, and a combat knife. Armor: full body combat armor. Gadget: Universal Map. Trait: Adaptability. His military training allows the Mercenary to wield any type of weapon with a degree of skill. Special ability: Implant CRNS. The Mercenary activates a subdermal implant which injects a nonaddictive drug that heightens their reaction speed. (Time appears to slow for them.). Claimed by: [b]Venku13[/b] Demolisher: A genius with explosives, but average everywhere else. Weapons: A rocket launcher loaded with custom warheads, a heavily modified grenade launcher, and a sledgehammer. Armor: blast-resistant power armor. Gadget: a bomb refusal kit. Trait: Bomb Lover. Thanks to his time working with them, the Demolisher is immune to his own explosives. Special ability: Megaton. The Demolisher fires a devastating rocket with a massive blast. MAKE SURE ALLIES ARE FAR AWAY. Claimed by: [b]Mister Mustard[/b] Prodigy: An escapee from a government lab and user of psychic powers. Weapons: Telekinetic bolts, fireballs, palm strike. Armor: light body armor. Gadget: a psychic limiter, which prevents the Prodigy from overtaxing their powers. Trait: Subject 24. Because the Prodigy has spent most of their life being experimented upon, they can use psychic powers like telekinesis, telepathy, pyrokinesis, mind control, and limited precognition. These all draw from a limited pool of energy which replenishes over time. Due to a lack of training, the Prodigy can't use conventional weapons. Special ability: Superhuman. The Prodigy deactivates their limiter, granting greatly increased power at the cost of burning through power reserves. Claimed by: [b]ManofLight3421[/b] Blitzer: An unstoppable force that loves to be in the fray. Weapons: A custom-made shotgun loaded with specialized rounds, a heavy blaster pistol, and a machete. Armor: juggernaut power suit. Gadget: a collapsible riot shield worn on the right arm. Trait: Inevitability. It is nearly impossible to stop the Blitzer if they're running. Special ability: Charge! The Blitzer energizes their armor, electrifying any foe in range. Claimed by: [b]Hammerfist1245[/b] Assassin: A master of murder at any distance. Weapons: a customized rifle which can fire both lasers and bullets, a silenced pistol, and an assassin's knife. Armor: stealth armor. Gadget: Grappling hook. Trait: Silent killer. The Assassin is much harder to detect and can't set off traps. Special ability: Now you see me... The Assassin triggers a cloaking device, turning them invisible for a short time. Claimed by: [b]Artemis[/b] Combat Medic: A renowned field doctor from the theatre of galactic war. Weapons: a bio-rifle, a weapon that can shoot syringes loaded with various chemical compounds and a hold-out blaster. Armor: medic field armor. Gadget: Medical kit. Trait: I'm a doctor! The Combat Medic can heal nearly any injury with the right equipment. Special ability: Walk it off! The Combat medic can briefly revive allies that have been severely injured. Claimed by: [b]Diana[/b] Tech Wizard: A normal person with an abnormal aptitude for manipulating circuitry and electricity. Weapons: a Tesla Rifle, an ionizer pistol, and a shock baton. Armor: grounded combat armor. Gadget: EMP. Trait: Hack the galaxy. The years the Tech Wizard spent around computers has made them a master hacker. Special ability: Watt the?! The Tech Wizard overcharges their Tesla rifle, firing a much more powerful shot that can chain to nearby enemies. Claimed by: [b]phoenix46350[/b] Cyber-Soldier: More machine than man, the Cyber-Soldier is a walking tank. Weapons: A laser rifle concealed in both arms and a shoulder-mounted plasma cannon. Armor: power armor chassis. Gadget: Integrated jetpack. Trait: Stay back! Any opponents who try to melee the Cyber-Soldier are knocked back by an energy pulse. Special ability: Target acquired. The Cyber-Soldier activates a targeting module, allowing him to hit nearly any target. Claimed by: [b]Saitonia[/b] War Droid: It was built for combat, and it excels at its task. Weapons: a light repeating blaster, a disruptor pistol, and retractable blades. Armor: Armored exoskeleton. Gadget: Masquerade holographic disguise, which allows the War Droid to hide it's true identity. Trait: Robotic superiority. Because the War Droid is a machine, it can't feel pain or become exhausted, allowing it to stay in a fight after any living creatures would have collapsed from their wounds or exhaustion.
