Prometheus Lens: How an Exotic Should Feel
Don’t nerf. Buff everything up to it. Looks great!
Edit: This is the first time in a while people are grinding hard as heck for an exotic. It shows how EXOTICS should feel. Strong and powerful. The steady stream of nerfs has turned D1, a fast paced game with single outplay potential, to D2, a team pea shooter. Stop advocating for nerfs instead of buffs. This is what’s killing the game.
Edit 2: “It’s bugged, dummy.” No duh. That’s why it’s fun to use. It reminds many of the quick time to kills in D1. Hopefully the PvE community doesn’t see this gun go down the drain because of us whiny PvP kids.

The weapon shipped with a bug, which we intend to fix with Destiny Update 1.1.1, along with everything else in the December update. Until then, please go easy on the players who have yet to get their hands on one (we know you won’t, but it’s been said)." Have fun and may RNG be forever in your favor.

I fully agree with OP's intention, though it would be better for weapons to be toned down a little bit. High TTK meta is not fun at all, but so was OHKO meta. A meta somewhere in between would be perfect.

So don't buff "everything" just buff exotics. MIDA spam! Cold Beam vs Hot Beam! Sunshot oneshots!

Positive Outlook with Kill Clip going, Better Devils, Antiope-D, Uriel’s, Dregs Promise can all take down PL if played properly. PL definitely needs to be brought down a notch but I don’t think it’s too far ahead of Positive Outlook(assuming kill clip active) or Antiope for TTK.

Reminds me of the time in D1 when the Vex was close to a 2 or 3 shot kill before it got nerfed to crap lol

i think we need weapons like the promethius lens in the crucible but there is really no counter weapon towards it. i think bungie needs to buff some more weapons to counter this weapon

i'm still here sitting wondering where this thing is good in PvE and not completely broken in PvP. i'm fine with having powerful and wrecking guns in PvE, i'm just waiting for them to finally replace my legandaries. I get it, people use it like crazy before it gets fixed, but -blam!- me, today was the first time i had absolutely no fun joining random PvP matches for the first time.i was checking players before we got into the match just to see how many were using this gun.jesus christ, this gun is out of place, waaaay out of place in the current pvp meta.i can deal with people using whatever meta weapon before, but this thing is on a completely different level.

The real problem is skill weapons arent strong they are just average and thats the problem skill weapons need to be stronger the harder to use just like d1 most weapons at some point where better the harder to use to some extant till side arm meta came

3 RepliesYou know that's not what Bungie does, they don't Buff when PVP cries OP or NERF. They just NERF ruin a good weapon for PVE. the prime example is the Titan , PVP cried , Bungie nerfed and that is how it is been going since destiny one started right up until now in destiny 2. I wrote a note saying something similar about abilities , I wrote a column saying don't nerf the pulse grenade, .Buff the Warlock and Hunter in the relevant areas to equal the Titan. What did they do? Buff the other 2 a little bit and nerfed the Titan . ITS WHAT THEY DO!!!
