Title says it all.
Quick edit: 2000 upvotes. I'm stunned. I'm happy to get this out there, because it's clear people want it. To address a few things that have been stated.
I love playing control right now. A couple maps needs their CPs moved, but I'm having fun with IB.
Also, I don't think we should just get all the gear in a day. I think that if RNG is involved it should be at match end and that leveling the vendor gets us ever closer to maybe a couple guaranteed gear pieces like D1. That way we have something to work towards.
I hope this gets addressed soon. We can get non IB gear anywhere else, we don't want it when we grind for hours and play fiercely to win matches.
Late night edit: look guys I know it's easy to get mad at the Devs and namecall, but I'm reading through some of this and it isn't how we get noticed by the right people. We need to keep up voting this and keep it constructive if we want to see this changed.
Final Edit: 4600 upvotes. This is absolutely insane. In the spirit of full transparency after 20 hours and 17 packages I completed my Titan armor set. I am only sharing this because I have it equipped and figured I'd look like a hypocrite. I still stand by the original thought of this post. 20 hours is a long time in comparison to faction rallies, which was an event that I felt like the token system worked well for. I'd love to see some changes in the future to IB rewards and look forward to hearing what Bungie comes up with. Best of luck in the crucible guardians.

2 RepliesLucky you getting the full Titan set. I've opened 10 packages and have gotten only 2 helmets. Its ridiculous. At least give me a different piece by removing a piece from the loot pool once its gotten.

This was the ONLY way for Bungie to justify placing non-IB gear in the loot pool. It was no doubt a dick move, but they countered with offering ALL of the IB gear in one loot pool. Sure we get a ton of duplicates for our grind, but don't forget- IB will be back next month if you don't get your full set, just like the factions. If we all got every piece this IB season, why dafuq would anyone want to play for the remaining seasons??? Duplicates did not kill this IB; non-IB loot did not kill this IB; tokens did not kill this IB. Static rolls killed it.

Hope they realize nobody who didn't get the deluxe edition will pay for any dlc until some of this nonsense gets fixed. Lots of unneeded changes and things that sucked in d1 still suck

Can they at least increase your odds of getting gear the more packages you open? I've opened 9 packages and only have 1 piece of gear with the other packages being duplicate weapons

1 ReplyYou get 2 loot per package...1 iron banner and 1 non-iron banner. So, you're suggesting that we just get rid of the 2 loot system and go back to 1 loot drop per package? I much prefer the ability to pick my guns/armor from tokens. If calculation is correct here, it'll take well over 200 tokens for a full set of weapons/armors for a given class (if you have the ability to pick) and much more with the current system since RNG...now that's a lot of work....

Especially considering how limited the loot pool outside of Iron Banner already is. I think I have one of ALMOST every legendary weapon in the game (Maybe missing 5 - 9 that I really didn't care for) and my vault isn't even close to full. Which would explain why they didn't expand vault space... No point cause there isn't enough to fill it. Hm. Also, while I'm here and on the subject, vault organization is atrocious. Hope you don't need two guns cause when you grab one, gotta hunt for the other one again. /:P

This problem to me is indicative that Bungie just dont know how to design sections of their game. Weve seen this over and over. Its symptomatic of a team that keeps on making mistake after mistake.

Get all the cosmetic IB gear and static roll weapons then what? That is the issue not that we aren't getting them fast enough

2 RepliesDrop rate is horrible. 10 packages and I have helmet and legs. Its taken me ages as solo and clan play. How am I supposed to get my Warlock armour as well at that drop rate? Seriously Bungie.

2 RepliesThis post has definitely received a significant amount of attention, and there are certainly opportunities to improve several aspects of D2. I may be misunderstanding some of these posts, but you are guaranteed 1 random weapon or armor piece with every rank up package, correct? So, the additional non-IB gear is just additional loot in addition to what is already guaranteed in the engram? I have not had a significant amount of time to play IB so far this week with work, but out of 4 engrams I believe I have received 1 pair of boots, 2 scout rifles, and the hand cannon. Obviously, every individual 's luck will vary, but it would appear that whatever non-IB gear we are receiving is in addition to whatever random weapon or armor piece of IB gear that is included in the engram. I am not disagreeing there could not be some changes in the IB reward system, just wondering what the disadvantage is of receiving free non-IB loot, in addition to the guaranteed IB drop.

Just spent afternoon in iron banner playing "domination" (i hate this mode) ,challenges on 3 characters , 129 tokens ... All i need is titan's chest , didn't have it in any engrams... 29 packages opened since tuesday and still haven't got 1 complete set on my titan . GG :/

i got 8 loot packages and only 1 iron banner armor piece from them. The Iron Banner armor is amazing looking and I,ve been playing IB for 2 days now but at this rate it would take more than a month of IB play to outfit my 3 characters if i don,t get repeat armor pieces. I don,t want to play Iron Banner which is only a one week event and get mainly crucible weapons and armor! Please take non Iron Banner items out of the loot pool.

I don’t see anything that needs to be changed so far but the amount tokens received per win and loss. If you want to keep it how it is, add daily bounties that provide tokens. Along with the daily challenges. I have a question though what are the devs goal in the iron banner? Because it all depends on the goal of what we are suppose to get and what the seasons are providing us. If we are post to get everything you are providing in one iron banner, yeah changes are going to be needed if not then minor changes are going to be needed. You need to let us know what your goals are for rewarding first.

2 RepliesRemoving fixed rolls wud solve a lot of issues. I now have over 1000 shards cus once you've got a gun or armour piece-that's it-done. The IB is new loot-awesome-that's wot we want. But all we are getting is dupes (10 engrams n 5 helmets later-no other armour) n basically more shards. If we had random rolls-then all the stuff dropping in IB would have potential. It cud me my new god roll?! No-it's just basically more shards. Fixed rolls has restricted the grind. All the non IB weapons that are dropping-I don't care about, cus I've either already got it or it's been sharded. That's wots irritating ppl. N quick question-is an IB drop guaranteed in every engram?
