I personally feel like giving up on being nice to people, half the time they're so overly concerned about themselves that it really does make it pointless.

Edited by Sheogorath: 8/30/2017 2:45:31 AMWhy am I alive now? Why not a century in past or future? Is there a reason behind it, or is all just for no reason at all other than the randomness of the universe?

1 ReplyWhy has politics taken over almost everyone's mind? It feels like it has gotten to the point that politics is more important than peoples lives. I get the fact that politics is important to the world. But so is kindness for others, not to mention teamwork and compromises, I've had it with the constant bickering and fighting over pointless political issues, that only causes more conflicts to arise. 6 RepliesIf we could move faster than light(IF), could we in theory, stop time? From the perspective of the person traveling faster than light, to be specific. If we traveled faster than that (at the rate the universe is growing), would we be capable of escaping our own universe?

1 ReplyYou know that song that goes along the lines of, "Rain, rain, go away. Come again another day"? What if the weather is taking those rainchecks (pun intended) and will eventually unleash all that rain at once, flooding the Earth?

2 RepliesWhat if We are alone in the universe, and literally no other intelligent forms of life exist? The Human race is the only form of intelligence forever in existence and no other life comes along We are it Just us Alone in a big, cold and dark place with dying stars and planets

Have you ever seen another person with someone else's face, almost like a parallel universe within our own existence. Someone else that resembles someone else's facial and physical features so exactly you can't tell who is who. You see someone else's unrelated twin existing whithin our own physical space.

2 RepliesSo a human is alive. But all its cells are also alive. This is like how an individual ant is alive but the colony is considered a super organism. Does that make us all super organisms? I've thought about this since I was a child and I can't tell you how many hours of sleep I've lost thinking about. On the subject what even is life? We have a definition for it but it doesn't seem all that comprehensive. The more we know about life the less we know about what it means to be alive. For instance scientists recently discovered a strain of highly complex virus in the Antarctic. Previously we thought viruses were small stands of RNA packaged in a protein shell but this breed was massive in comparison. At what point is a virus alive? At what point is it still a virus? And on a higher level at what point is something intelligent? Such a simple concept is surprisingly complex. Many simple concepts are really incredibly complicated. For years we had no real definition of what makes a planet a planet and even now the concept is hotly debated. And it's not just scientific concepts that are deceptively difficult but many philosophical and political topics are as well. For instance Good and Evil. What makes a being evil? What makes a being good? Is there even such a thing as either one or are they simply social constructs that mean nothing? At what point does a punishment become cruel? At pain? At death? I guess what I'm trying to say is what do we really know?

4 RepliesEdited by anotherbloocloud: 8/28/2017 6:49:27 PMSo I've been thinking why do we even exist? Like c'mon what are we doing. A majority af humans aren't famous or rich. Do we do good for a higher being? Do we only live to achieve out dreams? Do we sell our dignity for some paper that has worth due to the intricate systems of a country and the systems it has laid down due to history?

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: “Mankind.” Basically, it’s made up of two separate words, mank and ind. What do these words mean? It’s a mystery, and that’s why so is mankind.
