D1 will be replaced soon.
But I just have to say it:
The Vault Of Glass is hands down the coolest, most badass level ever created in any FPS ever.
In the universe.
Ever.
Hail The Vault!
Hail The Vault!
Hail The Vault!

Makes me want to play it again

Couldn't agree more

VoG is my favorite raid as well, not only from an entertainment stand point, but I could talk about the lore all day. Being wiped from existence only leaving weapons and armor behind for those to find, such a cool game concept.

Hell yes it is!

Gotta agree here. Partly because of nostalgia and that first mover bump, but also because of the atmosphere. KF and WotM were spectacular in their own right, but VoG will always be #1 for me. I never raided much, but I have every intention to jump into D1 for a raid on occasion.

Vault is good and all but, King's Fall is my favorite. I love the technicality and the depth of each fight.
-
1 ReplyVoG was always my favorite activity in D1, best weapons and best looking armor as far as I'm concerned.
-
1 ReplyMust be that senility kicking in. Skolas was a better raid than Vog has ever been. Fatebringer is a terrible gun and is slightly made better only when it's in the Vault. It's the second longest activity next to King's fall and it hardly teaches any mechanics of how to be a proper raider. Wrath of the Machine is better in every way and most importantly, teaches everyone to work together The future is now, old man

You must not play any other games...

3 RepliesKings Fall was the best and most epic. I still wish there were snipers shooting at you or spawning on the ships during the jumping puzzle. Oracles on vault were lame and atheon wasnt as fun as aksis even

3 RepliesNo, absolutely not. Vault was the worst. I found Vault of Glass extremely boring and dull. It's essentially just a bunch of bullet sponges with some bare mechanics. I love sitting in one place and and shooting a boss that poses little threat to me. That mixed with bare and boring mechanics was a pain. The moment I got Vex and Fatebringer, I never touched the raid again. My favorite raid, by far, is either Wrath of the Machine or Kings Fall. Those raids offered unique experiences, had amazing music that still sits with me, and some of the most memorable PvE events to date in my gaming career. In my

1 ReplyNostalgia is strong and it sometimes clouds things a bit. Looking back it objectively, it was meh.
-
2 RepliesHope D2 has a raid called ceramic kiln.

2 RepliesAs a raiding experience, I think Crota's End truly captured the souls of Destiny PvE. It offered an extensive, fleshed out activity, with very few bugs and glitches. The loot was fairly meh, with trashy items such as the Black Hammer decreasing the value of the overall loot pool, but the encounters were flawless. To this day, Crota remains the hardest boss in any video game, and has no possible cheesing methods. The activity is also quite long, clocking in at about 5 hours per completion. 3 RepliesWoTM and VoG are some of the best fps missions ever made

2 RepliesCould not disagree more. Of the 4 raids VOG was by far the easiest and required no versatility at all. Just send 2 people to each part of the map and you don't even need any communication. WRATH, and KF were the most creative activities I have ever come across in the gaming world. If you weren't in a fireteam of members hat raised together nightly communication was a requirement. Working together was never more important than in WP or GOLG OR ORYX. Servitors calls and timing on bomb throws not to mention empowerment calls to reset the room were fast paced and challenging. Next to these 2 raids VOG was a mildly difficult strike. You could easily do it without a mic. For me that eliminates it as a top tier activity. Discuss....

Everyone knows the Vault of Glass is the best Raid....it's practically perfect in every way
-
I pity you
-
64 RepliesNo. Put down those Nostalgic glasses. Kings Fall is the best looking, close to WotM.
-
Crota is still my fav bc I soloed the hell out of it on my y1 account
-
30 RepliesVault of glass is overrated as hell. People only say that because of nostalgia and it being the first raid they've done.
-
3 RepliesI think the reason why vault of glass is the fan favorite is because of the hype of year one. Mechanic wise wrath of the machines and kings fall is better and crotas end is a strike. #forever29

3 RepliesEdited by SilentFight2411: 8/13/2017 8:07:09 PMCall me weird, crazy, stupid, whatever you want but I liked all the raids equally even though my completions don't show me to be a hardcore raider. Each raid brought about a different challenge for me as an individual player.

All the raids were great. That Cabal one better surpass them all. Long live the empire.
