It quickly became apparent that if I wanted to do effective damage in PVP, that I should never use my melee attack or grenades. They take too long to engage and do far too little damage. By the time I've gone through the nade throwing animation and the nade hits the opponent and I switch to a weapon and begin to engage, I'm already dead from their constant primary attack. You're always going to be in a better situation using primaries and trying to keep enemies at range.
Is this really what this game has become. We are now being penalized for using our abilities and nades???

To have the game scrubbed of all its RPG elements so that its a game of "pure gun skill"...and "balanced". Not so fun to play is it?
