The damn challenges came out less than 24 hours ago and I'm already seeing lfg posts about deathsinger and Crota challenge modes with "know what to do".
How about you lazy schmucks TEACH them "what to do" since you're such experts having done it only a few times yourselves the very first day.
God people are idiots.
Edit:
# 1 I'm talking about the challenges
# 2 I don't need to start my own group because I'm not talking about It for myself. I'm saying the posts are ridiculous in general, not because I want / need to do it. I'm a year one player who has played consistently through the present and have friends I raid with.
# 3 People shouldn't have to watch a video for changes that JUST came out. If someone can't take a minute to explain it, they're idiots not worth playing with anyway.
# 4 A friend and I did a nightfall a while back with a random 15 below the required light level because our other friends weren't on. We gave him a shot and while his damage output was bad he was great with revives and popping bubble when things got rough. He ended up becoming a good friend who's now 400 and we play with regularly. I know it's not the same as raids but it doesn't hurt to give people a chance. They can end up becoming friends and becoming a good part of your team in the future.

You're throwing the word 'idiot' around like you've been personally affected. If I choose to lfg, I'll approach the situation in one of two ways: 1. I look for a post with reasonable requirements that I can meet, or; 2. I make my own post. Other people and their unreasonable requirements are a non-issue for me.

Great post, one of the most rewarding things destiny ever offered me was the satisfaction of helping low levels rank up and learn........oh and my first ever gjallahorn dropping from a purple engram, oh yeah i said purple!!!......great days......

5 RepliesI think it's funny.... You join an elitist group and they are no better. They die doing something stupid. Only difference is they all freak out and yell and cry and throw stuff and ask for their mommy. Chill people laugh it off and go again. The raid is supposed to be fun, not a damn chore to get done in record time. Only raid i've done without a wipe was Kings Fall. We went all the way to Crota without one person dying. Everyone had to go so we didn't finish it. That group was so chill. I was like 10 light lower than them, and they didn't care. It was the best raid experience i've had so far.

1 ReplyEdited by x disko stu: 3/30/2017 5:09:39 PMI admit sometimes I go for a group with the "know what to do" tag line on it if I want a quick run. But hey, we all had to do it at some point for the first time. A lot of these guys probably shout at learner drivers for holding them up on the roads, forgetting they themselves once had to learn how to drive (assuming the guys and girls I'm referring to are old enough to drive). Some people are good with patience and teaching, some folks just wanna get the job done. I can understand both outlooks. There's always a group out there that will suit your needs. I got kids, wife, job and all that jazz to. But game time, is my time, at night when all else is dealt with and kids are in bed, then I can pick up my pad. Feel free to add me on xbone. I'm usually lookin for a raid group when I'm on. Fast runs or chilled with first timers. I don't mind. Edit: whatever way it's being done, there's no need to be a dick.

I plan on running raids all Saturday, and I'm welcoming any and all rookies. I've yet to get a chance to run it yet but I've seen all the new stuff and it shouldn't be too much trouble. I have over 90 Crota kills and most I was the sword runner. So if your new to this raid and your on, on Saturday, and you need help, and you don't want play with people who are gonna freak out... I'm on Xbone and my GT is the same as here.

3 RepliesSee, if the raid is out for at least 4-5 days, and you havent watched a video, that tells me your expecting someone else to teach it for you, which kinda makes it seem like your lazy, I don't want to waste unnecessary time to teach you something, when you could've looked it up yourself.

2 RepliesEdited by TheMedic44: 3/29/2017 7:12:39 PMI definitely agree with your post, I log on to do the raid and all the posts on lfg say know what to do , be experienced, Know what to do or be kicked. Day fricken one! give me a break, I was really disappointed on the sheer quantity of these posts. Especially since it is what the community complains about all the time. At least it gives you an idea of what posts are from scumbags. or just plain dumb lfg posts: #girlswelcome #doitforharambe #mustidentifyasattackhelicopter I like to steer clear of those

1 ReplyThe challenges in crotas end are far easier than in kings fall or anything else, think about it: Death singers: kill all adds before you attack ir yut. Then a swordbearer comes out and you use that to kill her. Crota: don't pick up the sword twice Yeah experience definitely helps with this, but it's not like this is hard to understand

No one taught me what to do, I joined a clan and got a team together and we hit the raids on drop date blind, every time since VoG. Why can't people do that for themselves? Are those who ran it required to teach everyone else? What fun is that compared to figuring it out for yourself? Find others who didn't finish it yet and go discover the raiding experience! I've done teaching raids before and had fun, I'll definitely teach more people with CE and VoG being relevant again but new to so many. But I don't get the whole "You ran it before so you are required to teach it to new players and can't ever have experienced teammates." If someone doesn't want to teach it they don't have to. It's not their job.
-
16 RepliesSorry if you did not go in blind right after the patch like many don't ask how to do it when vids of exactly how to do it were posted less than 1 hour after release. If you can't take the time to prep(like 5mins max) you're not ready.A little fine tuning and practice is fine but not having a clue is totally unacceptable when vids were posted so early of how to do it.

>calls people lazy >can't be -blam!-ed to watch a two minute YouTube video

Edited by ferial56: 3/30/2017 4:41:34 PMI hardly get a chance just because of my age :(

If people want a run with others who have already done it thats their choice, whether you or anyone else thinks that shitty it doesnt matter, people can do whatever they want. I for one know that if its my first run Im going to post on lfg to create my own team and ask for people who havent done it or people who have done it that have time to go through it like the first time. Quit crying about it, you say its not affecting you yet you're here talking about it.

5 RepliesEdited by What I Look Like: 3/30/2017 2:35:00 PMAll the people saying watch videos are the people that get 2 year degrees and expect management positions in life.. you need actual experience for this stuff. Sure, watching videos definitely helps. It helps to know the basics, but no amount of videos is going to properly teach anyone. You need to actually practice the event, and don't tell me people learn differently. I guarantee anyone that nobody in history has ever been able to watch videos and perform perfectly without stepping into the raid prior. Edit -
It's a damn raid dude, not some strike. It's teamwork, I don't think a team should be so pissed to work together. A lot of you are not team players at all. You're all "get in shoot and get out so I can be done and fap before work" players.
-
Cant teach it. You are on a time limit.
-
Idk I wouldn't call them lazy, some people just want to get all of this stuff done in a hurry. I would much rather just take the time and create my own team of people who are helpful and friendly. That being said I did more of my raiding during the earlier years of this game. I joined lobbies that had requirements like this and things were far from perfect, guys died all the time like a typical raid would go. If anything lobbies like that are more of a watered down speed run, like a strike you've done a lot and just want to get over with. I feel like the people who put those maybe tried doing it and helping people but got frustrated and restarting so much.
-
Some players like to play more serious then others their version of fun is just getting shit done so they play with like minded players others just play for the experience itself, I'd rather play with relaxed chill groups with no pressure makes the experience better imo

Check out iWyrdi https://www.twitch.tv/iwyrdi He's new to streaming and would be much appreciated if you could pop into his chat and say hi, even drop a follow if you're feeling good! Thanks!

Agreed. People are straight lazy and asshats. I joined a team last night. The guy explained the raid from Ir Yut on, (challenges including) in under 6-7 mins and we cleared first try... ITS NOT HARD!!! STOP ACTING LIKE 1 WIPE RUINS YOUR DAY LOSERS.
-
If the post says "know what to do" but you don't know, don't join. Make your own post. I'm not busting your balls... it's just not worth getting mad over.
Most "know what to do" teams still struggle because the person that made the post does not know what to do.
-
Sorry bromigo, but you can "know what to do" before you even try it. I knew exactly what to do because I watched two little short YouTube videos and I was ready to rock. Quit yer bitchin.
-
Literally anyone can watch a 3 minute YouTube video explaining the challenge. Don't know how to do it? Look it up.
-
I read what it was about and the team I was with only had 3 wipes because we ran out of time to get to the Deathsinger. We had the sword all but one time. Crota Challenge was just obvious from the get go and I also said the Oversoul was going to appear every time he went down the day before the raid and I was right. We took about 10 tries because Crota is glitchy af

2 Replies3 years later, Perhaps people are sick of teaching other people how to do it, Post's you see of people saying " Know what to do " Obviously don't wanna teach people do they? They want it done on the 1st or 2nd try.. Why does it effect you what others are wanting in their fireteams?.
-
Does all groups have to be training exercises or can we not just have a run with skilled teams, I have run raids when all the others have never run a raid ever and I have run raids with the aim to just get it done, both are fun in their own way but some people want all raids to target just them. Crota has been out for some time so it's fair to ask for skilled players. You however want to call people names, goodbye
-
6 RepliesAll they need to do is watch a YouTube video. I don't need any dead weights in my fireteam
