Im making a new titan, and decided to add an interesting challenge to it.
playthrough of the game, I will be playing a titan.
I call it the "the unforntunate-less-than-basic- grunt that has to save universe but is severely under qualified for this" playthrough.
In this playthrough, I must reach lvl 40, and complete all campaigns( Vanilla, DB, HoW, TTK, ROI), not only solo, but also without leveling any sublclass.
This means, no grenade, no double jump, no super, and not changing any of the base Class stats (armor, agility, recovery).
I may not level up weapons or armor
Only exception to the solo, is when the game calls for a strike. As well as sunbreaker quest (it will give me a super and i can't have that)
Once all Campaign quests are completed and have reached lvl 40, I may continue the game as normal.

You'll need a jump for a few things... other then that it'll be possible I suppose.
-
Do a playthrough using only low magazine size weapons like the hand cannons and fusion rifles with in 3 shots in the mag.
-
Just do an abilities only run through of the story. No guns allowed!
-
I think you need the double jump to do certain missions
-
I think you can take a grenade and the first double jump. the first one is the flash bang grenade i think. and your double jump is a jetpack. I think you can take both those and still be a standard soldier type. It's fair to say that the average space marine would have access to a standard grenade and a jetpack

21 RepliesI tried this once too. It is impossible to complete all campaigns without any upgrade. You will need at least Double Jump in the TTK Mission "Cayde's Stash" to get across that gap at the bridge, and to climb the inner tower there. Since it is a TTK Mission it's almost impossible to acquire a Sword before that, and it's almost impossible to acquire Twilight Garrison before it, and even with those you barely can make it across the gap, let alone climb that tower. But, I hope you have a lot of fun with that challenge! It's really hilarious sometimes, I've enjoyed it a lot. Always been thinking with Caboose's voice during the run. Don't use Double Jump unless you truly need it! :-)

1 ReplyYou can't beat 'the coming war' due to the gap
-
8 RepliesGod you must be bored.
-
😝ur running a strike and other people r dropping orb after orb after orb and ur sitting there trying to jump up a 1ft ledge and can't
-
2 RepliesGet to lvl 40 before 'The Comming War' and use a sword to gain some more distance.
-
You do know over the past 3 or so years, far better games have come out...right?
-
At least you can jump once. That eliminates that pesky "1 inch rock that is an impossible task for the foot of an immortal light wielding Guardian."
-
4 Replieslol subclasses are upgraded after missions which contain exp genius.
-
My friend and I had a challenge on who could make the ugliest titan. She won with ugly pink hair but I still have the titan.
-
3 RepliesIf you get there, you'll get stuck in HOW with the final skills encounter, it requires some double jump platforming
-
I did this as a hunter when the level cap was 20. Except I also fully leveled the subclass. Took my picture of everything able to be unlocked. Don't forget to do all the strikes. You can survive the fall in the nexus jump.
-
Not that hard. I did it on hunter a 1.5 year ago. Thought BD was such a crutch. Bungie actually sets up most areas so that basic jump can reach any area that you would technically need to reach to complete the missions.
-
1 ReplyAll this talk about jumping makes me wonder if a hunter with bones of eao can get a jump just from those and no node unlocked.
-
1 ReplyI would be more impressed if you started over and didn't die once and if you did, start completely over again but good luck to you, without the jump and no access to sword yet could be quite difficult
-
That...sounds...excruciatingly painful. Well, have fun! :)
-
I'm glad someone is trying challenge runs! Not enough people do imo.
-
You have to have double jump for a few missions
-
You won't be able to make the jump across the broken bridge one "The Coming War" mission in phobos without a double jump.
-
Everyone watch out, this guy just don't give a -blam!-!
-
Several story based missions require double jump
-
Wow i might try this it sounds fun
