4 RepliesSo having paid attention to this stuff for years (God knows why) I can tell you right now you will be lucky to get another game or two this year that matches the overwhelming praise Breath of the Wild is getting. Probably Red Dead Redemption 2. Maybe something else. So stuff like Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty, Battlefront? That stuff isn't GOTY. You gotta think really big given how high the bar is right now.

I've only played one new game so far, and that's Horizon. Also, I can virtually guarantee Death Stranding won't be out this year.

Game of the year in Q1? Death Stranding? It's way too early to even guess yet and Death Stranding isn't coming for like 3 years.

Pretty sure Zelda just stole it. Only game that even has a chance is RDR2. I doubt ME:A will hit that level but here's hoping. Horizon has an 88, it's good, but with the competition it has this year I'd be very surprised if it's even considered.
