The sandbox team buff and nerf things in such bulk that it messes up the status quo of how crucible works.
I never agreed with others when they said incremental weapons tuning needed to be a thing, but after this stream. I agree 100%.
What I personally believe this sandbox team need to do are nerf/buff things incrementally, so we can be the testers, because if you watched the stream, you could see how awful they play. They are terrible at their own game so you can't be surprised that they destroy the balance when they themselves are incapable of playing competitively.
Thoughts?
Edit: Well, we're trending.
Edit 2: Member when he tried to put on 2 exotics? Oh I member
Edit 3: Shotgun PvE FTW though...

the special ammo balance is too big of a change

At least play the game...
-
I don't even expect this game to be good game any more, I expect that sorry excuse for a balance team to make destiny as shitty as it can possibly be
-
Seriously, updates that only come once every 4 or 5 months is ludicrous. I'd be fine with the changes if i knew another update was around the corner soon. But that's never the case.
-
I want to believe that Bungie can still make FPS games. I want to. But then they do this every 6 months and prove they just don't have people that can do it anymore. We will see how it shakes out, but I was hoping to convince some other friends to come back and play after the update. None of them are planning to. I hope April is special.
-
1 ReplyI disagree. They make changes based on data and gameplay. If you think watching a few scrubs play 1 game makes you an expert, then you're also insane. Bungie knows what they are doing... if they didn't you would be playing CoD
-
6 RepliesWhat triggers me is that one of them tried to put on two exotics at once
-
3 RepliesEdited by kiLLjoy: 2/9/2017 9:44:22 PMIf it is the same guys who were playing during the stream, then yes, they need to reconsider their approach to how they need to balance the game. Im not the best but these guys were definitely aweful...
-
5 RepliesIt proves that all the Halo devs left and they're stuck with a bunch of dimwits who dont know wtf they're doing. The worst part, the same people are making D2. So good luck with that.
-
You want destiny, which has been in beta since y1, to be even more of a beta?
-
More than anything it proves that they don't even play this game. They had to look at their controllers to see what buttons to press for crying out loud.
-
4 RepliesWhn does this update drop? I got no update and the game starts normally?
-
First off bump, second Lmao he did try to put on a second exotic! Even they want to put multiple exotics on! Lbs, casual players make the devs look like toddlers putting the remote in their mouths and just pressing button. They didn't even know the damn map! I don't know the names of most of them but I know the -blam!-ing layout of the maps ffs!

1 ReplyEdited by Mr Fats: 2/9/2017 9:13:11 PMLol I agree, their game play was absolutely horrible. He couldnt get a kill with TLW, which means that, if I base how TLW is going to do after the patch after watching him use it I would say throw it to the bin, it is useless, not that I use it anyway. Personally, I think they just dont know how to do this, and like you said, after watching them play I understand why they can't get it right. I honesly dont see me playing destiny for much longer after seeing this stream and what this patch is going to do to crucible, after I watched them play I felt crucible was slow, very slow. I switched the stream off after 1 minute of watching him play... it was painful, they need proper PvPers if they want to get this right and to start listening to the community... this is what happens when you base your weapon tuning on stats... and not experience That thing with the special ammo disappearing might look like a good idea but lets face it, its going to mean more people waiting for special to appear, which means, less map movement, more defensive play, more camping... I dont know what to see, I guess I will have to wait and see, not a good impression I have to say, but I could be wrong. I like the idea of people using their primaries more and i foresee more NLB - Universal remote / sidearm combos now than ever before
-
He said "I goin me" "I switched to gunslinger cause that's what I do" lmfao Then immediately after tries to throw a knife :/ & I don't even want to think about how he was using TLW. The whole time I was thinking uhhhh...What?! I hope they didn't nerf it again & they didn't want us to see on stream that they really destroyed it this time
-
5 Repliesimagine someone who actually plays destiny going against the sandbox team. The sandbox team would be annihilated.
-
4 Replies"I'm a golden gunner, that's me" can't figure out jumping, tripmine timing, throwing knife placement, general movement. Lol ok dude.
-
Edited by TheLastRib: 2/9/2017 7:52:32 PMim still salty about that small .5 headshot dmg increase for autorifles. atleast the stormcaller nerf was minimal.

1 ReplyEdited by iPatrikolby: 2/9/2017 2:18:21 AMThey look at Reddit and the raw data, which only tells part of the story. It's clear they're super defensive these days. They must've said that they "play the game a lot" like thee or four times in the first 10 minutes. They might, against one another, or pve but they were like potatoes brought to life. And Deej. Yikes. "I play shot gun". Do you? the whole production was ass. Can't believe I thought anything positive was going to come out of this. Bloom after first bullet? Ass! .5 buff for autos? Ass! Nerfed bladedancer? Super ass! That came out of left field like the throwing knife nerf. Speaking of which, solar burn on throwing knife? Ass of bass! Rant over. End transmission.

Messing up the status quo in Crucible is a bad thing?
-
6 RepliesBlades and Nightstalkers laughed when tripmines and throwing knives were nerfed out of nowhere. Nightstalkers laughed again when hungering blade was taken out of left field while gunslingers cried with the blades. Don't laugh you void scum. They're coming for Snare on tether next 😂
-
Still waiting on full patch notes personally. Since the whole no special ammo on death thing - they REALLY need to remove Exhumed - at least from special weapons.
-
2 RepliesI agree. They are bad at there own game and need to have the people that actually play this game and are good and know the crucible inside and out (True Vanguard for example). Bungie just lost me at this point. They have no idea how to balance the crucible.
"Nerf blade dancer" is the now the new "nerf fusions"
-
3 RepliesThey nerfed Blink... I think it's safe to say that Bungie can't make a PvP game.
-
2 Repliesthey crashed the party crasher's party! WHYYYYYYYYYY!!!???? No more partying for me, most shotguns are ok when it comes to the new balancing but the most used ines are quite usseless now!
-
8 RepliesMy favorite part is when Deej tells them to go to tree, and one of the guys turn right into a wall. I then knew this wasn't going to work lol.
