The requests for skorri's nerf is a bad slippery slope.
Once Bungie listens to their community and thinks they're doing well, everyone will have a much lower standard for artifacts. Next thing you know, people will go from saying "You shouldn't be rewarded for only standing close to teammates" to "You shouldn't be able to have two storm grenades and two storm thunderstrikes." Or maybe even "Memory of Jolder with a shotgun is too OP."
My fellow forum buddies, I'm particularly fine if Skorri's gets an adjustment. But don't go down this route of shitty nerfs again. We need to learn from our mistakes.

This is a solution in search of a problem. It works the same for everyone so if you don't like that the other Trials teams are running Skorri's, go use it yourself. There's an obvious trade-off: use Skorri's but at the cost of keeping your Super unused. If you're willing to do that, good for you. I really don't see the problem here. If you don't like that the other team is building Supers faster, then you shouldn't let them charge Supers like that. Or you should do the same with your team. But unlike a subclass ability, ALL players have equal access to Skorri's, so what's the big deal here. Finally, I agree with those who are arguing against making sweeping changes simply because vocal Trials players are complaining. It wouldn't surprise me if its just a vocal minority of Trials players too. I'm crap at Trials but when I've played with good Trials people, not a single one of them has ever urged our team to equip Skorri's much less try to exploit it. In fact, its never come up even once. Somehow the best Trials player I know has been able to get to the Lighthouse repeatedly without having to spam Skorri's, so go figure. Maybe he's simply that good. Maybe Skorri's isn't broken at all. Hint Hint! When I play Trials (and lose), its typically due to the other team simply being better than mine or playing smarter, or both. But I've never blamed Skorri's for lack of skill at Trials. Can't we all go back to blaming lag? :)

1 ReplyAll the artifacts are perfectly fine. I will however say that Memory of Radegast needs to be adjusted so the sword ammo is consistent and isn't ripped through. Also, Memory of Jolder shouldn't exist. Because sprint lock shouldn't have existed in the first place.

I don't get why people hate Skorri's so bad? It's not like Clever Dragon with HCR, that you can't counter. There are many ways to kill them. Sniper Rifles, and, if your killing then fast enough, your own super. People saying that Skorri's is broken are idiots.

3 RepliesI don't get why anyone would ask for a nerf. A) everyone can get Skorri's, it's not like a god rolled matador that you have to have great luck for B) it's advantages don't completely outweigh it's alternatives. Always having a radar or two melees/grenades seems just as good if not better in many situations. Else than say...the clever dragon. C) it's not the artifact itself that is obnoxious...it's how people use it. The artifact itself works completely as intended. It only provides an extreme advantage in [b]one[/b] specific way of gameplay. It's as if bubbles got nerfed because of weapons of light+sniper bodyshots. D) it's way more important for pve. It's the ultimate sign of good teamplay in a raid. You give up any immediate personal advantage just to aid your mates, hoping that they'll do the same but mostly knowing that it will strengthen the whole team. E) -blam!- trials. It's obnoxiously competitive. If you're into that, great for you. But we all know that within ten seconds of nerfing Skorri's someone will have found a different way to abuse something. Also I'm sure y'all can come up with some kinda counterplay. Like say...playing agressive or something. Dunno I ain't no trials guy.

And to even get the buff, you have to be CLOSE. And I mean like Y1 titan T-Rex melee close. It's simply not practical to be that close to your teammates all the time. And if you are that close to your teammates really often, then good for you! You should be rewarded. EDIT: I don't play trials so I'm speaking purely from a 6v6 relatively non competitive experience.

In a competitive state like trials you shouldn't be rewarded for hiding in the corner of a map and avoiding the other team until you get your super and just spam supers the last 3 rounds to win.. it's a cheap and stupid tactic , like using final round efrideets, Erireen luck in the chamber body shot snipes, and countless other stupid things implemented in this game that were abused and taken out .. it will eventually be removed , it's just the waiting game until then

Make Skorri's only work in PvE or remove it. Not sure if they can code it to not work in PvP but it did more damage to Trials than any other gameplay change in the game's history. It promotes camping in spawn. Slow's the game down to a crawl.

It's okay in a clash or skirmish game where you can rotate but in trials it promotes camping to the point where you play the entire game in your spawn and it works. Hell I've gone up against teams of 2 storm callers and one bubble with reduced cool down that would sit in the top of their spawn playing for the bubble to get super then skorris. Would jump off at the end of the round rather than fight and take a chance on giving us super energy. The only nerf it needs is a way to make it so that you can't just crouch in spawn for 2 minutes you can chase them or kill them but in a game like trials where there are maps like pantheon where to push spawn is a death trap it just doesn't always work well. Same as if camping sun on burning shrine. You have inside control and cap point and to push outside is suicide but you can't dealing two or three supers either

Nerfing should only be a last ditch effort to bring balance to the game, and only if there's legitimately something wrong with whatever is being discussed. I don't understand what's wrong with Skorri's, or why it has to be nerfed. There are abilities, tactics, and strategies to flush out passive players who are clustered together. Not to mention nerfing it would be extremely unfair to PvE players since Bungie refuses to split most PvE/PvP adjustments from each other.

Look back at all the blanket nerfs to weapons, armor, supers, grenades...I'm not surprised artifacts are now on the list. Soon we'll see sparrows, ships, and shaders nerfed. It's comical at this point. Just give as all foam fingers to fight with already.

7 RepliesI think memory of skorri should just be disabled in pvp, similar to how memory of silimar (see what I did there?) is disabled in pve. It should be a solely pve artifact that can give a huge benefit to team play and the self rez tlaloc build, while not breaking pvp at the same time.
