If you work 12 hours a day, like I do, you should have plenty of $. So, just look through the forum, there's a ton of try hards who will take you to the light house for $. So, play a different mode for fun and just get carried. The rewards are crap, and it's not worth trying to git gud, because you need 2 others who are gud, and you will lose if you play with people who aren't. I've worked very hard to become a decent player, but i never have a solid team of 3.

Let me preface the following comments with this: I don't do Trials and I am an average 1.05 k/d player You are kind of arguing from a presupposing viewpoint. That being "the Lighthouse should be accessible to all players" Why do you think that? When Trials was released, Bungie said that the Lighthouse was for the best players. Try applying that logic to any other reward in any other competitive arena. "The Superbowl should be more accessible to all teams" "The heavyweight title should be more accessible to all fighters" etc. etc. Trials was not something that came with Destiny, but something they added for the more competitive players. So, it is not as if you are being denied something you paid for or having something taken from you. It's purely selfish to demand that something you are not good enough to obtain be handed out to you. I guarantee more people left Destiny due to Bungie giving in to permeating attitudes like this than because of not being able to reach the Lighthouse. The same people who complained that things were too powerful because they died to them. The same people who complained exotics were too hard to get and that skeleton keys didn't drop enough. The same people who complained about matchmaking. Well look where the game is. You can get a bunch of exotics with relative ease that all suck and you can use them against people in unbalanced matches or in strikes to get skeleton keys that open a chest that contains something you have 5 of already because of how easy it is to obtain now. It's sad really.

So you've been to Mercury, but you're complaining that you can't get there again? Lol It's Bungie's fault, but not in the way you're describing. The entire issue is that no one is playing Destiny. (I realize there are some...) That's because of lack of content, lack of incentive, annoying 'meta', etc. If more people played trials I might never see Invigorate, or some other jokers living in a dungeon...but as it stands now EVERY card is dominated by 2200+ elo players and it's extremely difficult. I'm an ok player, but I'm not going to be able to keep up with those types. Anyway, git gud and try to play on Monday mornings.

Sorry man bungie has said before the lighthouse is not meant for casual players. If you wanna go you'll have to practice and improve- get a weekly team, learn each others playstyles and practice with them. Don't know what else to tell ya...

I do agree that you shouldn't be put up against players with a way higher KR than your team. But then again the whole point of trials is for skilled players exclusively to go.

Well in case you weren't paying attention. Bungie said that Trials of Osiris is for the high skilled players of the game.

I do think they need an update in the matchmaking of it to where it is tier based off of skill level but make it easier? No it shouldn't be
