No radar/revive trials in the future?

Ever since year one, trials has been tough for me, but I never understood why. I have a decent KD of 1.1, straight up god roll shotguns, and a pretty good team of friends. However, with the special "Halloween trials" with no radar or revives, I've never done so well. I went flawless 3 times each weekend, and afterwards just kept on playing trials for sh*ts and giggles because it was so much fun. I'm assuming that I am not alone with this. Many people I have spoken with through raiding, iron banner, etc, have said it's much more enjoyable than vanilla trials, since it requires much more communication, and sneaking up on enemies is actually possible. I think it would be amazing to have some sort of rotation for no radar/revives trials. Maybe every 2 weeks or something. Tell me what you guys think!

  • I hope this is a joke. You struggled in trials ever since Spooky Trials because you're shit and no radar just lowered the skill gap so heavily.

      I liked it because you could play the map not the orb. My team had push & fall back positions based on the enemies weapons, how many were alive and which of us had gotten the kill. We knew if we died it was because we were out of position. However on anomaly at least it seemed to heavily favor skorri/sunsinger hiding. Rushing them down was our best figured solution but risky because of blind shotgun corners. Playing passive meant you were in a 3v6 w/overshields/fusion grenades/shotguns in a close quarters pin game.

    • love the people complaining saying no radar is a crutch... how exactly does taking away information from a player give them an advantage? [spoiler]well bruh they just sneak up behind me and that's super scrubby[/spoiler] Oh well maybe you should use some teamwork and communication to cover your flank ya know? [spoiler]you mean talk to people? uh why would i do that lul git gud... oh and uh no revives is stoopid[/spoiler] Yes no revives is kinda rough but it solves the issue of just rez sniping people. Also the game is moving along at a different pace instead of just camping orbs.     • I completely disagree that no radar is a crutch or for bad players, if you can't do good just because you don't have a radar you were never good in the first place

      • Sounds fun and a good idea but that would promote camping in all areas of the map, especially corners. Imagine someone invisible hiding in a corner with a shotgun just waiting for you or a sniper camping the hallway.

        • It feels more team based with it like that. This way if my team guns down a single guy who rushed us, we aren't constantly keeping tabs on his respawn so as to keep him out and on the flip side of I stumble into the full enemy team ahead of my group and take one with me, my group isn't at an immediate dissadvantage because the enemy cannot simply camp for a moment and respawn their buddy.

        • It removes playing the radar, spawn sniping, and camping on killed guardians. It solves more problems that it causes.

          • I would say no radar so inferno trials but bring back revives. If i have a choice i play everything inferno cause it is so much better. I run sniper and in inferno you have to be so much more focused as quick look in scope 360 look round move. Instead of just move see red stop aim shot see more red aim shot move repeat

          • Had a blast with it the first week because it was a bigger map. Asylum was annoying because it's so small, everyone just shot gunning.

          • No radar was awesome no hard scoping what so ever I faced a good amount of sniping in it let's be honest only the good snipers can succeed with no radar, there was a few campers hiding in corners with shottys that's only when we got to the 7-8 win mark no revives and no radar is the way to go

          • It would be good to have a rotation but all these streamers and so called "elitists" would be very unhappy with that. They depend on the radar very much. If anything keep the no revives but make it that the radar only shows players when they double jump or shoot. Easy. [spoiler]inb4 you're only saying that cos you're a scrub git gud[/spoiler]

            No radar is absolutely Shit. Destiny has terrible audio cues and terrible peripheral vision...destiny was a game that is made to played with radar. Noone wants to play hardcore S&D in Destiny...so NO

            • I prefer trials with no radar and no revives and have had no problem going flawless with or without them. I would of liked a bigger map were primary weapons have more of a use. I think the weaker teams wouldn't of liked it on a bigger map. There's a big difference in 1v1 shotgun and 1v1 with primary weapons. 1v1 shotgunning is so 50/50 no matter how good with a shotgun you are, with primaries it would be different.

            • I love it. I wish it would stay like this from now on. I use my Kinect to talk so I can't hear as well as Turtle beach users, but it was the easiest flawless run I've ever done. I say keep no radar. ~ATullo~

            • Nope. There's hardly any gunfights. Majority of the time you get shot in the back. Secondly there is no reason to run anything other than a shotgun. This game mode was fun while it lasted but I'm sure all trials experts would agree it removed a massive skill gap. Though trials currently is still flawed, it is much better than no radar and no revives.
