I have no issues with that. My issues are with a very specific, and deplorable, practice of Bungie's: charging REAL money for RANDOMIZED items.
Charging strange coins for random loot... ok.
Charging real money for specific cosmetic stuff... also fine.
Combining the worst of the two makes people gamble with real money, and that has no place in a video game.

All the little kids that bought booster packs for magic or Pokémon or yugioh are also gamblers in training Wake up, America

So in actuality, the card game itself, just like destiny, it's rng. But, the eververse is a place to go to buy specific things like emotes and boosters and other specific items. Would this not be different than going into a store and picking out the rare card you want to save yourself the grind of opening pack after pack? Come on now. If I went on eververse and paid real money for dragonsbane, I should get it, not a chance. So screw that. You need to understand the stipulations

I understand the comparison fully, just making a whimsical comparison. You're also paying a jacked up price for those specifics. I suppose people wouldn't complain if bungie just overcharged for the big ticket items and allowed people to get them directly.

True enough. Glad I never got into any of that.

You missed out

Oh, wow, I didn't get to buy stuff that might have been good, or might have been worthless. I'll try to contain my disappointment. Sounds like one of those theme dinners, where a certain percentage of the people get a fancy meal, a certain percentage get a very basic meal, and the rest get a woefully inadequate one. But those dinners exist to enlighten people about the plight of starving people worldwide. I doubt the card company's motives (or Bungie's) were that pure.

No, but they were a lot of fun, force strategic thinking and personal interaction, and hold their value extremely well.

And it can be much more expensive then this game. As there are an absolute more cards then items in destiny.

Csgo did it first though

I tried to find a way to argue and I could not. I guess if people want to do this go for it. Not for me though.
