i feel like i get most my kills with my primary /shrug
-
The primary weapons I would change are: • bring low-mid RoF pulse rifle damage falloff in line with high RoF. Over long ranges, Grasp loses 1 damage when NTtE loses 2, this is wrong. • remove hand cannon ghost bullets. Restrict effective range with damage falloff, not random accuracy. • increase range for low RoF auto rifle.

1 ReplyPulse and scout rifles seem to be doing good

12 RepliesYou are playing the game wrong. While it might just feel easy to run around with a shotgun the entire game, you would actually be better served swapping from primary to secondary, only when the need arises. The TTK on my Waltz and my Aegis are both just over 1 second.
-
3 RepliesWhy do people keep saying this? I don't find any problem with primaries in this game. Depending on the game mode, I find myself getting wasted by primary weapons most of the time. That's how the game should be, imho.
-
8 RepliesO rly? I use my hand cannon all the time
lol I bet you assume I use the last word or thorn. Nope I use finalla's peril
-
I use primaries in crucible does that make me bad?
-
Maybe you just suck?
-
I disagree big time.
-
Top primary weapons used, mida (distant star), hawksaw archetypes, and doctrine I don't really see any other guns
-
I do just fine with mine. Hawksaw and suros are effective
-
10 RepliesAre you intoxicated sir ? How quick do you want primary's to kill, I use my primary 80% of the time if not more
-
1 ReplyPrimaries are fine. People need to learn how to aim.
-
8 RepliesLook at the general players stats for pvp, and then the most kills with weapons. Guarantee you most people have primaries up top
-
9 RepliesNo...no no no no no. Primaries are just fine. Buffing primaries would make Destiny another CoD with 0,4sec TTKs. However I agree primaries are not as useful as they should be and there is only one (1) reason: shotguns. Shotguns are broken as hell. What Bungie dis to snipers (the flinch change) was excactly what the game needed: now primaries can challange snipers at primaries intended range. What Bungie should have done is nerf shotguns as well (they were and are more broken than snipers ever were). Here's what should be done to shotguns: - Remove sliding when shotgun is equipped (or just nerf the range, but I think this would be more appropriate) - Remove the ability to use melee right after shooting shooting a shotgun (no more thunderstrike bullshit AND this would make high RoF shotguns actually a viable option) - Nerf Striker's juggernaut perk and nerf titan skating. Titan skarting is obviously a glitch, doesn't require any notable level of skill to use and makes titan easily the strongest class in PvP. With these changes shotguns would still be able to pull off long range OHKs but could not be used as the player's "primary" weapon. They would be on the same line with snipers: very strong in some situations and/or game modes but would not be the best choice for majority of the encounters in crucible. Ps. If someone disagrees with me (which is alright naturally) do not say stuff like "you just don't know how to counter shotguns" or such. I'm in top1% in rumble and rift and top2% in ToO and salvage so I do know how to play the game and I know for a fact that shotguns are too powerful amd easy to use. I use one myself most of the time because there is not much choice. My PSN ID is niklasdd, check destinytracker.com if you feel like it.

Edited by SaltyJack591: 10/13/2016 3:13:46 PMI don't think it's that they are really too weak although the TTK has gotten pretty long with all the nerfs. The problem is there are too many ammo crates and spawning with secondary ammo. Though they would also need to fix the side arm to not spawn with ammo. When I need to do a bounty with top of the leader board I break out my Plan C and Malok. With my quick change perks and the quick charge first shot I can get more than 20 kills per match with it with all the ammo drops, usually 3 crates during a match. I rarely use it as it feels cheap and don't run that weapon combination often, just for leader board and secondary weapon kills bounties. I prefer primary battles, they are just more fun to me. I don't play to be competitive and could care less about my k/d and just play for fun. I don't really see the need for more than 1 special ammo crate per team spawn area and 1 heavy crate that drops in the center of the map and gives ammo to only one player. That way you have to fight over it and we don't have an endless stream of shotgun/sniper/heavy kills though out the matches. There is far too much emphasis on power weapons in game, special should mean it's rare and used sparingly. Not your primary source for kills or they would be called primary.

I have the new IB HC and it's pretty -blam!-ing awesome. 3HK body shots. Good range. Pretty damn powerful.

Bump, primaries must have 2sec TTK in their intended range, what i see now is a lot of ghost bullets on primaries, shotgunners takes 10 shots without reduce their sprint speed. I'm going stop playing Destiny, i'll do RAID heroic to get 100% achievements, and it's over.
-
My Grasp of malok on my titan could certainly use a buff. I won't complain
-
Not really
-
2 RepliesYou're not wrong. Everything but hand cannons need a damn buff.
-
Separate the balance between PvP and PvE. If you want things to work in this game across the entire board. Keeping the balance the same across the entire board it will never happen. Especially knowing Bungie has the nerf happy team. If we/Bungie haven't nerfed it yet. Don't worry, you can count on us getting to it.
-
If you work at bungie read the title or play your game.
100% Shotguns are the only thing you see in pvp or pve, it is so stupid people use them effectively as primaries. The only exception is the nerf to universal remote thx bungie for that.
-
Agreed, primaries are pretty much all I use though, with the occasional voop.
-
I'm not disagreeing but it will never happen. An across the board buff of primaries will likely: - Break like a dozen other things. - Lower the TTK to a point that Bungie does not want. Likely other ramifications too but it won't really help the way you think it will.
