No one talking about how this guy was on FBI watch list twice. He bought guns recently. What happened to your gun control? It didn't work, clearly.
background check... FBI, wtf
English
-
The watch list is pretty much arbitrary, you don't have to do anything wrong to be on it. Although, being affiliated with Isis should make it illegal for that guy to get a gun.
-
And a previous employee of the DHS.
-
You can't have your rights revoked for being on a watch list. Right to a trial and all that.
-
They dropped the ball on this either way. How ineffective is the current system? I don't see how FBI are not getting more heat for this
-
Dropped what ball? He hadn't committed any crimes prior to this.
-
Arguably I'd say an alegence to isis should warent an arrest
-
Maybe. Depends entirely how the language of that bill is. But you're now making arrests for speech
-
No I'm saying arrest for being in a terrorist group. Just saying it's something people need to consider strongly
-
What constitutes being in a terrorist group? If you're talking people who have activsly worked along side them, sure. If you're talking people who are sympathetic then that's dangerous.
-
Pledging allegence is enough
-
I would say it's enough to be investigated, but making that a crime is a bad idea.
-
What isis member isn't a terrorist?
-
Saying you support Isis is different from being a member.
-
Not really no
-
So If I say I support the NRA, does that make me a member? No. If I say I support the us military, does that make me a member? No. Same logic applies.
-
Except it doesn't saying you support isis means you support what they do, meaning what you do probably isn't non violent
-
You can be non violent and support violence. Look at the majority of America, they support violent actions abroad by the military while mostly being non violent themselves.
-
Lol nessisary violence. Look he'd still get due process the fact is the fbi had plenty on this guy but Obama told them to stand down
-
Give me one thing they had that is convictable.
-
Listen to what his father said and listen to how he was acting the past year from family and friends
-
I didn't say give me info I already know, I said give me something convictable.
-
Pledging to isis saying gays have it coming to them etc etc you know the story that's enough to a sane person
-
Those are deplorable, but within the rights of free speech.
-
No its a call to action that's why yelling fire in a theater is illegal
-
No, yelling fire in a theatre is illegal is because it causes immediate danger if a panic sets in.
