There have been a great many posts about buffing subclasses in pve lately and about nerfing exotics. I would like to offer my own suggestions. I feel that our supers and exotic weapons SHOULD be OP. Therefore, below are a list of things I feel are fine, and others I think should be buffed.
Subclasses
I'm starting with these because I'm more sure of what I want to say. Currently there are two subclasses I feel are fine: nightstalker and defender. Before I start with the subclasses though, I want to offer suggestions for changing the actual classes. I think titans need to have much more armour but move incredibly slowly, and hunters need much less armour but move much faster. I think the warlock stats are right.
Sunsinger has been of great debate lately, but I don't want to see it nerfed - instead I want the alternatives to touch of flame and viking funeral seem more appealing. First though, let's discuss the melee. Flame shield is one of the most hated abilities as of now - so let's see its alternative solar wind buffed. I cannot notice any knock back at the moment so I think returning this is worthwhile. In terms of offering alternatives for touch of flame - why not make angel of light last longer? While you're at it - add an armour boost. I think for the most part voidwalker is okay, but it certainly needs a pve damage buff - enough so that any non yellow bar enemy with a shield and any yellow bar enemy without a shield will die. Also make vortex last longer and make the tracking of angry magic noticeable. I believe that the only change we need to see with storm caller is for pulse wave to boost recovery rather than speed.
Hunters are also controversial at the moment, but I don't want nightstalker to suffer if we are buffing the other subclasses, so this one will be left alone for now. Gunslinger is in a similar place to voidwalker in that its super doesn't do enough damage in pve. Give it the same buff as voidwalker and it should be in a good place. I also feel that the perks for the throwing knives are lackluster. I would suggest that circle of life be replaced with tracking and the dot on incendiary blade be buffed. As for other perks, I feel that over the horizon should not boost range but add the potential for precision damage on golden gun. Bladedancer would also benefit from a pve damage buff, but arc bolt grenades also need a boost to their damage output. Someone else suggested that razors edge be aimable so that flying enemies can be attacked easier and I agree with this point. I also think that fast twitch should boost melee attack speed.
I think titans are in a good place right now and I only have a couple of suggestions for them. I think flame seeker on sunbreaker should have a tracking buff so that it is actually noticeable and fist of havoc should have the same pve damage buff as other aforementioned subclasses. Also, the defender bubble should be indestructible without killing the creator inside. A slight impact buff to hammers could be beneficial.
Exotic Weapons
After the numerous weapon patches we have had over the course of destiny's lifespan, our exotic weapons often no longer feel all that exotic. In the spirit of my subclass suggestions, here are some ideas for how we can see a rise in loadout variety. Because let's face it, we only really see black spindle and touch of malice in raids, and last word and mida in pvp. Firstly, here are the exotic weapons that I feel are in a good place:
Monte Carlo
Suros Regime
Zhalo Supercell
Plan C
Queenbreaker's Bow
Telesto
Super Good Advice
Dragon's Breath
Jade Rabbit
Tlaloc
Lord of Wolves
Zen Meteor
Swords
Sleeper Simulant
No Time To Explain
Touch of Malice
The Chaperone
Black Spindle
Pocket Infinity
Gjallahorn
Now you're probably thinking, "but Nightmare, you said very few exotic weapons are used!" I did, but I don't think that's entirely due to lack of power, i think sometimes were afraid to use different weapons. That said, here are the weapons that I feel could use buffs.
I think that the front lines perk on fabian strategy should also offer an increase to damage
Hard light has bouncing bullets! Wow! Said no one ever. The perk volatile light should give this weapon explosive rounds, but reduce the Base damage.
Ace of Spades' maverick perk should completely refill the magazine, instead of just one bullet.
Hawkmoon should have its nerf undone, so that its perks stack again.
The last word should not have had its damage nerfed. But it should only be usable in close quarters like it is advertised as, so maybe reduce range or stability.
Thunderlord should have chain lightning like zhalo supercell
Please reduce the vibration from bad juju - it is too much
Red death should be reverted to a high impact low rate of fire pulse like it used to be
Truth should track better (yes, I know I've said this a lot today)
Mida should make you move faster than it already does
Invective and ice breaker should both charge ammo faster
4th horseman needs more range
Universal remote and no land beyond need a hefty ammo increase so they can be used in pve
Dreg's Promise needs to track like you said it would - but maybe only on its bounced rounds
Hereafter precision shots should all blind - not just the kills
First Curse currently takes the same amount of bullets as a high rate of fire hand cannon to kill someone - this is crazy
Combine the one way/or another perks of boolean gemini
Necrochasm needs a buff to stability
Vex mythoclast and thorn are both controversial and I appreciate this - but I think a half way point needs to be found between their current crap state and their prior opness.
General
I think invisibility is pretty pointless to be honest - buff it so that you cannot be seen at all when still, slightly more visible when walking, and current level of invisibility when sprinting
Make all exotic weapons, raid weapons and gear sets, and all vendor weapons and gear sets all relevant
Add elemental burns to all exotic primaries
Remove bosses' ability to one hit kill up close
Give the option for sticky grenades on all subclasses
I know this was an extremely long post and I appreciate you reading to the end. I haven't had access to all weapons as I'm on xbox so I would gladly accept any playstations players opinions on the exclusives.
I will also gladly debate any other suggestions or things you believe I've got wrong - but only if you are civil.
Thanks for reading, guardians.
Edit: This has blown up over night. Thanks for all your bumps and suggestions. Let's hope someone from bungie sees this now that it's on trending!

1 ReplyTitans do need a hammer buff. I'm not talking about for PvP. I couldn't give half a f-ck about PvP. I mean in PvE. They aren't tough anymore. They barely get a yellow bar down to low enough health to finish off with a couple primary shots.

I like most of it. Get ready for the pvp backlash.

2 RepliesWhile I like the invis idea, I can't agree with that for PvP. I fully like this idea, the thought of people stealthily coming up behind you for a sneak attack is great and would push people to watch their surroundings rather than their radar... but all this will do is encourage camping over all other play styles and will just end up turning Destiny into CoD. Bunch of people camping in corners in trials, IB, and crucible. (Maybe if Shax put a penalty on players who sat still for more than 60 seconds while under the effect of invis? Teleport them to a random spot and put a 60 second cool down on invis.)

1 ReplyEdited by HELP1NG HAND: 5/20/2016 12:59:44 PMGood post. Excellent ideas! I disagree on just a few of the topics, but overall it would make Destiny better to implement these ideas! My differing opinions are scattered and isolated (such as I feel that the Lord of Wolves could really do with a solid buff. Not to damage, but its exotic effect. Also if most of the classes are getting hefty damage buffs to their supers [which is merited, by the way] then the Defender really MUST see his Ward of Dawn strengthened to compensate.) Other individual contrasting opinions such as those keep me from completely agreeing with everything you have said here, but overall -I agree with you and would like to see these implemented.

2 RepliesNice - it'll never happen though! I Think the focus is on PVP, and PVE suffers. When you think about it, PVE content is repeatable, and PVP fresh each match - at least theoretically. So PVE is a stagnant portion of Destiny that doesn't get the same attention. Wish it did though....

4 RepliesEdited by Ibluewarfare: 5/20/2016 9:50:29 AMNo disrespect to your post. But you have very minimal pvp experience to be making claims like this. Sure mida is ONE of the many weapons used in the crucible but its not one of two (TLW) more often than not you will be facing legendary weapons like the pdx or hawksaw archetypes, or the doctrine/arminius archetypes and lastly the hakkons hatchet. Frequently since its buff hawkmoon has prevalence in the pvp setting. Why use an exotic primary in pvp when there are equal or better legendary options like ones not listed (grim citizen, red spectre) most people are using zen meteor or truth in other exotic slots. Your plan would probably ONLY make exotic primaries and specials viable in pvp. TL:DR. Dont make claims when you dont know what youre talking about

1 ReplyGood post but don't mess with my titan's speed. I feel like there should be trade off perks for things like this but instead of speed it should've damage decrease. Maybe increase aggro with some abilities as well so that classes could actually take on roles. Just don't force it on players and make sure there are plenty of viable build options.

1 ReplyPersonally I think Voidwalkers are in a great spot right now and are more useful than for just shutting down other supers

3 RepliesEdited by Ni Knight: 5/20/2016 3:47:24 AMNice post, but I take you don't main a Titan to say it's "in a good spot". No, it's not crap, but it isn't a "Titan". Defender is quite powerless outside PoE/CoE, it has no decent damage skill (try doing any "x void ability kills" bounty or quest with a defender and you'll get what I mean). In pvp the bubble is a joke (I think it should have a burning perk, just to annoy rushers). Sunbreaker I won't even comment about. It was great before nerf. Striker is the only subclass that I think is well balanced, both for pve and pvp. I don't like pvp much, but I do IB every now and then to get gear though. And I can do decent damage with my FoH in pve. - Edit: But still, not a "Titan". About the other classes, I can't say much, since I barely play with my alts, but your general idea is great. Feeling powerful (or even OP depending on the loadout) is what I miss most from y1.

1 ReplyMega Bump! I want to feel powerful when i use exotics not weak or normal! ~ Feel The Fire

Yeah good ideas but wont ever happen. This is destiny they only nerf things & take things away, you never get something without losing alot more.
-
1 ReplySome really good ideas here, I especially like the sound of the hunter being more agile and the titan being slow and cumbersome but incredibly powerful. This will add an element of variety that's missing from the game. By the way, this is a well written article, especially for a sixteen year old!

2 RepliesI disagree with sleeper being in a good place. The exotic perk is crap. It won't ricochet and come back to hit anything other than yourself. Yes, it does pretty good damage to large single targets, but that is it. The gun has no crowd control ability, and it doesn't DPS nearly as quickly as Spindle. Sure, it IS an option for boss fights, but it is not so huge of a difference maker that I ever think "Wait, let me get out that Sleeper." I use dragons breath way more often than I use sleeper because it has solid DPS ability against single targets that are slow or don't move much and it is also great in crowd control.
-
3 RepliesI like my nerfed exotic weapons so please Bungie, KEEP NERFING THEM! Don't listen to these clowns who want powerful items in the game! We want this game to be a safe haven for invading aliens everywhere and we need to stop killing each other in crucible! Hugs not drugs!
-
1 ReplyAnything involving or suggesting Fun, PvE, Buffing, or Diversity are immediately picked up by Bungies Filter marked as spam and will never make it to the sight of any developer or anyone who can implement any of these. All though these are wonderful ideas nothing will change ever. We have played this for almost two years I can only count like 2 maybe 3 buffs for PVE, but would need an abacus to count the number of nerfs that have occurred in that same time span. Unless you are cry-nerfing in mass herds for something that is "breaking" PvP don't bother it falls on deaf ears that are listening. At this point it's only about PVP and Trials and will stay that way in till their new update which comes fall. A Temp fix to your suggestions though... Patrol the cosmodrome for some reason all your gats are effective in that game mode :)

2 RepliesEverything you said I completely agree with. The only thing I would change is the part about being fully invisible. Have it where if you're walking, you are completely invisible, but when you start to run, the invisibility starts to fade, sorta like that one mission where you steal crotas soul. Mega bump
